    Baby girl

    Hi all,

It really seems as though my GD has gotten better over this summer Love Ya!

This day I came back to work and could hear the news that my collegue

had a little baby girl a few weeks ago, and when I heard the news I was

genuinely happy for her, I did not feel that strong pang of jelousy that I did

before HURRAH! I think it has a lot to do with the fact that my collegue is very

straight forward and not the least "girly" herself, and when we had lunch

a few months ago, discussing gender, she said that she really just saw this baby as

a child and had no preference whatsoever, and I do believe her about it.

Now if she had been the most feminine woman with an obsession to have girls

then I think my reaction had been different, strange to think isn-t it?

And on asidenote - she is the only one at work who drinks tea all the time instead of coffee as the rest of us,

so go figure...I am still obsessed with the swaying thoughts, they will never leave me Happy ROFL

Sounds like you're dealing with GD very well.  It really is hard when somebody you know has the gender that you want, and you're expected to be oh so happy about it all, but what you really feel like doing is crying your eyes out.

So are you going to start drinking tea now instead of coffee?Welcome

    Noboys,

Thanks - but the real challenge will be when she shows up with her at work,

then I dont know if I will be this cool about it, we'll see...

About the tea-thing; I always think that I should take tea but then it is just so

boring with tea (compared to coffee), and you dont get that caffeine-kick that I do

so need...but I think coffee is a poison that wears down the adrenal system so

yes I better be start drinking tea for that reason if not for swaying for a DD.

I am not sure about a third child, I still want a girl but dont know if I want three kids, KWIM?

How did you know that two children were your limit?

My DH was going back to school, and money was already pretty tight, so that pretty much sealed the deal.

    Noboys,

I understand. I guess we could stretch it to three, but I will wait and see if I really want it.

Just for my swaying-obsession; are you a teadrinker?

(just maybe I will make a poll about this... LOL)

I'm a tea drinker too - I even went on to decaff tea when I was ttcing a girl! Most of the UK are tea drinkers but it doesn't seem to affect the boy:girl ratio I'm afraid Happy Smile
