I'm on my 3rd pregnancy and am finding it very different from the first two for numerous reasons. but one of them that is challenging me is the issue of my sex drive.

with my first two, I was very 'up for it' shall we say. We had sex at least once a day for both pregnancies...right up until a few hours before delivery with the first!

This time around i'm not very interested in initiating sex at all. In fact even the sight of my hubby's privates makes me a bit sick! This is a huge change for my husband who is used to me ripping his clothes off! we still have sex a few times a week, but nothing like my first two pregnancies.

 We have two beautiful girls and I am hoping for a boy...sure this in itself isn't telling...but curious to hear what your experiences have been!

Any similar or different experiences out there??

Not sure I can help with that one! With my first, I felt sick at the thought of it (but had severe M.S, vomitting up to 17 times each day) and was once weekly at the most after that finished. With this one, am only 11 weeks and suffering M.s, once again, not interested! I think it changes according to hormones etc rather than gender.  My friend has two boys and with the first was very `active' but nothing for 9 months on the second!! I hope it means you are having your boy this tme x

Well, for me, with the boys, I wanted sex often.  This time, and it may have been because of the m/s, I couldn't stand it....didn't want anything to do with it.  Which made me feel like I just used DH for a sperm donor!!  But, even now, no m/s and I can take it or leave it, no huge desire for it.  I think if there is just a difference, either way, it could mean the opposite sex for you!  

Yep, with my girl I had my normal sex drive.

So far with this pregnancy (told it's a boy) I have barely wanted it at all!

I was predicting the sexes of your children before I even read what they were as I had the same 'symptoms' as you!!! I was definitely more 'up for it' with the girls than when I was pregnant with the boys ... Could be your little boy!

well here's hoping! the other seriously significant difference is that I was very sick with both of my girls...for 4 1/2 months the first time and almost 6 with my second little girl...

and this time I really haven't been sick at all. a very nice change, but so different!!

 I had a 16 week scan on thurs...and my Doc said he 'is pretty sure it is a little girl' but that we'd check for sure in 5 weeks...

 

I hope I can last that long!!!!!!!! :)

Not had a girl to compare to but this is my 2nd boy and both times I have not been interested at all.

UPDATE ladies!!

 went for another scan this morning as I couldn't wait...and apparently it is a little girl! yup, the '3 lines' and 'hamburger' were there. she didn't give me any pics to prove it, or i'd post them.

but I did get a gorgeous one of the little babe, it looks as if she is kissing the placenta! extremely adorable.

still cannot BELIEVE it is another girl, but there we go...every pregnancy is different!!! very glad I found out now though.

With both of my DD#2 DH was pretty much on his own....I think we went with out for 3 months at one point lol.....This time I want it but cant have it because of bedrest etc....

With my DD ,I hated sex!
