What causes morning sickness or should i say ALL day sickness? I have been sick for way longer this time around. I am just nautious all day. The smells are finally getting better. I am hungry and nothing sounds good. I just feel awful! My md gave me some meds to take. They take the edge off but still! With my 1st DS i wasn't sick for 1 day. With my 2nd DS i was sick for about 2 weeks then i felt great. So far in this pregnancy it has been almost 8 weeks. Is it because i am older now with this pregnancy or is it possibly a girl????

all the extra hormones.  I want to wish you good luck with getting a DD.  I never had a bit of m/s with any of my boys---this time I was down for the count for almost 2 months!  I don't think it has anything to do with age.

I also think it's just our body's response to extra hormones.  You sound just like me though, and I'm having a girl!  With my 1st two (boys), I was nauseous a little bit in the mornings, but the rest of the day it was fine.  That happened from about 6 1/2 to 12 weeks.  This time- I was nauseous all day long, and it lasted from 6 to 16 weeks.  I'm 20 weeks now and still feel icky on occasion.  So for me, more m/s meant girl.
