girls with csections

i cant remember what my doc told me last time about driving- how long do you have to wait if at all? im curious to hear what other docs have told you guys.

my dr said 2 wks, my friend's said 1 wk.

thanks guys- we have a trip planned for the 29th (we cant get out of) and we are going to have to take 2 cars. i wanted to be sure i will be able to drive.

How far are you planning to go?  Is this your first c-section?

I had to rest up for at least 3-4 weeks after my c-section, I could hardly walk, let alone drive anywhere.  I certainly couldn't drive for a long time.

this is my 3rd. it's about a 6 hour drive- we were going to rent something, but we can't find anything.

Sadly I couldn't even abide by my doctors rules...LOL...i was driving right away.  I have no help here and needed to get back and forth to the doctors so I drove myself.  He said a week though...LOL

this is another problem for me as well. i think i will be ok- someone told me it was something like 6 weeks. i started to panic!!!!!!!

My doctor never told me...but I think you should be fine as long as the pain is barable and you are comfortable without cramping for the distance you're driving. Wouldn't make sense to say you can't drive... Also try not to be all WeeEEeE on pain killers for obvious reasons. :)
