    No!!!!!!

Hi guys, ok, this is my first child and she's 13 months old.  Recently she's started saying "no" to everything.  When she knows she's not supposed to do something, she says "no" then does it anyway.  did anyone else have this start at the age of 1??? I thought this stuff started at 2??

    Re: No!!!!!!

No is my dd's favorite word and she is 1.  She has been saying it since she was 13 or 14 months.  She is 17 months now.  We will ask her "are you a good girl?"....."nooooooooo"...."do you want to go outside?"....."noooooooooo"....."you want a piece of pizza"......"nooooooooo"....and then grabs for the pizza....LOL...

Now more recently she has discovered the word "yeah" not YES....but "yeah"....so her nooooooo has been replaced with "yeah" which I find annoying....LOL

My kids were both done with the "terrible twos" before they turned two. I loved two! My kids went through a no faze too, and my first son did it right around his first birthday. I have video of him shaking his head no to everything he actually wanted. We were on a local TV news program around that time in a segment about making our own baby food. I felt so ridiculous because he shook his head no before every bite he took!

    Re: No!!!!!!

My friends son was like Jojo's dd..he said no to everything. lol

Another friends daughter and my Ds3 said yes to everything when they were one. My friend one day asked her dd if she wanted doggie poop to eat and she said yes. Happy ROFL My dh would ask our son if he wants a beer and crack up laughing when he said yesHappy LOL

Of course now my ds3 has switched and is saying no to everythingGrouchyHappy LOL  But it is really funny because you can almost see the look in his eyes when he has realized that he just said no to pizza or candy. Now he usually waits to hear the question before belting out a no.

I think whatever word they hear alot they tend to repeat when they are 1. And no is a very common oneHappy ROFL

I also want to add this because it's so dang cute...

DD also says "thank you" which is adorable at her age because she can't speak that well so when I give her something I say "say thank you" and she goes "da do"Happy ROFL

Yes, unfortunately, no is a favorite word of 1 year olds! 2 year olds are in a class by themselves. They don't say no as much, they say a LOT more and do a lot more.
