my attempt with Soy! (for whoever cares)

 So I took soy (isoflavones), 80 mg a day, cd 1-6. I tell you, something was different. Since TTC for dd, at least for the last 10 month, I got positive OPK at cd 10-11 and Oed following day. This time, I did not get positive OPK until cd 16. I Oed cd 18 not cd 17. Big difference!! We ended up BDed 4, 2, 1 days cut-off due to this unexpected cycle. I have BIG hope for this month. I guess my cycle gets longer with soy so I should expect my cycle to be 28-30?? I will up-date the results. Love to everyone!!

So, for all of you taking Soy, were you early O'ers?  And you were trying to O later?  Or did you have another purpose for Soy?  I took Soy to hopefully boost my O so it wouldn't be so late... ugh... I may have done the opposite, huh??  ;o)

It's for TTC boy. I already O kind of late as it is so I've been afraid to take it too. Grapefruit juice delayed my O by a LOT, so I'm sure soy would do the same!

I took soy to hopefully create a stronger O but all it did was mess up my cycle.  I even went off of it for one month and then tried it again last cycle and I couldn't even tell what was going on with my temps.  It was awful and I don't even think that I O'ed last month.

It does work for some girls though.  I know lillyvanilly got pregnant on it and I believe so did andbabymakes4.

Thanks for the info!  Welp, if it makes my O later, I'll go crazy waiting, but I was just saying how my "attempt" is creeping up too fast.  Also, if it does make my O later, that'll probably be better b/c the moon will be in a better phase (I always O in the girl phase) .

I hate how the attempt just creeps up on you but I love it because I hate waiting!!!  I can't wait to hear about your BFP soon!!!

Congrats on your attempt!  What did you do to try and prevent the whole boy factor of the soy?  Just wondering because if next month doesn't work out for me, I'd like to try soy if I could prevent the boy factor.  Good luck and can't wait to here about your BFP!

 Well, I took soy to improve my fertility. We haven't been successful for this long so I wanted to do something. I also think Oing cd11-12 is early. My boys were conceived when I was Oing cd 14 and I was very regular. I don't have a chart to share, sorry. My temp in general very stable so I never bother writing down. I hope to get BFP. Even if I get BFN, I will try with soy again. Hug to all!

I took it for the same reason as you. It delayed my O and yes I did get a BFP...it was going to be my last cycle on soy cause I didn't like the side effects (night sweats, hot flashes, delayed O) and I didn't O until cd 33 the cycle I got my BFP.
