I just turned 9 weeks pregnant and all of the sudden I am getting extreme dizziness all day long. I've never had this problem before.  Anyone else had problems with this? Should I be concerned?Confused Huh?

E, I had bad dizziness with this pregnancy too.  For me it was low blood pressure (which is pretty normal in pregnancy) but I also get dizzy if my blood sugar levels are low.  Everything I read said to lay on your left side and should help you feel better.  Also. stay hydrated.  Dehydration can cause the same symptom.  If you are worried call your dr.

I had an ear infection early on with DD2.  Every time I moved my head I felt like I was on the sea!!  No pain at all.

I have also had dizziness, however, this preg being the worst. But only when I move to fast from sitting / lying down etc

Might be worth a check from your Doc, just in case it is something they can help with as extreme dizziness could be dangerous, not in itself but what situations may arise because of it

Hope it goes away really soon, take care

Thanks guys..yeah, I'm going to go to my moms' and she's going to check my blood pressure for me.  Mich, I thought about it being an ear infection. I have an appointment soon so I'll have them check it then.  I'll call tomorrow if it's worse.

yeah, I have dizziness.  I have low blood pressure too...so that can be a cause.  Just get up slowly.  It is a side effect of pregnancy....

I've had this problem with all my pregnancies, but this time it is twice as bad.  I asked my doctor about it and he didn't seem concerned.  At first he said it's probably something to do with sugar levels, so to make sure I'm eating well and lots of small meals and drinking lots of water.  Then when I told him it happens when I walk around the grocery store he said it may be blood pressure.  I was annoyed he didn't want to do any testing or anything, just told me it would probably be better by my next appointment and sent me on my way.  So I still don't know what it is and it's getting old.  I feel like crap all the time and can't do anything.  Let me know if you figure it out.

Lurker here... hope you don't mind.  May I make a suggestion??  Try upping your B vitamins, Folic Acid & B12 and make sure you're getting enough of B6.  Also, take a look at your amino acids intake... those Nutritional Yeast Flakes on the boy diet have been making me feel GREAT lately.  Give 'em a shot!!  Worth a try!  ;o)

If it's bad you might want to see a doctor sooner than later.  This happened to me along with REALLY HORRIBLE back pain....I actually had vertigo and was put on bed rest for a week!

It's gotten a little bit better but to be honest I've been taking it really easy lately..I feel so horrible. I was really hoping it would start going away around now..Thank you girls!
