 I contacted the Leicester Royal Infirmary Assisted Fertility Centre and told them i was doing IVF abroad and they said they would scan me and do my blood tests (£50 per scan and £22 per blood test) but would offer no further input. All i needed was the scans and tests anyway as i would be following Jinimed's protocol and my GP is prescribing my meds privately.

I think you should contact your nearest hospital and just not mention the PGD (although my GP knows and didn't comment)

Hi, are the scans & blood tests for after the procedure or before? Are you splitting your treatment; just going to Turkey for the actual procedure? I'd like to do their 3 week package deal if I ever get the cash - 3 weeks in a nice hotel!

I once donated eggs years ago & I do remember many many blood tests before I could donate, to make sure I was healthy [Its ironic I should be wanting to use HighTech now] And they scan to check the eggs are developing?

Is your GP charging you as a private patient for the meds? [Just wondering how sympathetic my Dr'd be]

I wish they'd just bloomin legalise it; the hassle we have to go thru to gain access to HighTech is ridiculous.
