September's come around so fast - which is great - 2009 bring it on!

Hi girls. I started Gonal F on saturday morning. Yeah! Already saturday afternoon I started having a HUGE migrane and today its truly been AWFULL. So bad that I felt like puking... Anyways on the good note, the needle in the Gonal F pen is sooo thin, that I hardly feel it going inside. I dont feel any pain afterwards at all, and so far nothing else besides normal AF pain and the migrane from hell...

Hi Ladies, I just finished my last BCP yesterday morning. I am on my sixth night of Lupon and currently waiting for AF. The office said to call on the first day of AF. I was just wondering about the sequence of fertility drugs to follow. What comes next? I never went to the fertility class. Please help me.

Summergirl: yeah you started your meds! Sorry about the migraine. Thanks for the head's up though. I get terrible headaches and my protocol is also Gonal-F and Menopur so I will be prepared now for the pain. 

Pitter-patter: if you have questions, I would call your IVF coordinator or the nurse. I think everyone's protocol and process is different so I wouldn't want to tell you something that you shouldn't do (for instance, I do not have to wait for AF to start meds. I start them on Thursday, so you see that part is different). Keep us posted.

My update:  Took last BCP yesterday. Had u/s and bloodwork today. Am waiting to receive meds. Actually, am waiting for insurance verification to cover meds (please cover ) If u/s and bloodwork look good, I start meds on Thursday, 9/4. Back in the office next Monday for u/s and more bloodwork.

And right now I have a bill for $21,625 in my purse and will have to pay it on Friday.  (Insurance denied our claim for IVF even though I am covered for 2 rounds. I am not infertile, and that's that.)

My upate I just came back from the doctor and I will start the fertility meds tomorrow. My ER is scheduled for 9/15. I go back on Saturday for a sonogram and then I can report some results.

Nic0420: Sorry about the migraine, I hope that you are lucky and dont get any. Hope that your meds will arrive soon. I will be  that your insurance will cover your meds. Bugger that there is no cover for your HUGE bill  I still havent gotten my bill yet, but Im sure I will in the end of my cycle - not counting on them forgetting.   GL

My update: I started being a bit dissy (dont know how to spell that) and having lots of hot flashes. When Im at home (luckily) I suddenly just HAVE to take of most of my clothes... But hey, I can live with that and DH too! Still have the 1st u/s scan on friday. Saturday morning is departure day. Also I need more Gonal F etc. 

Im having big problems with my computer. Its at the repairs right now. Still hoping and  that it will be ready, so I can take it with me.  Cannot even think about being away and not being able to get online to IG. That would truly be a pain, not to mention the fact that I wont know what to do with myself for several days and no computer! Right now, Im on a very old computer, and everything is sooo slow. AND there is no Skype on this one...

Okay, guess that is enough complaining for now.  Oh, yeah, forgot to say that DH has noticed the many hormones from my sometimes  harsh comments to pitty little things.  Ouuups...

 So DH has done the Gonal F injections. Normally I will look away, but the last couple of days I have looked at DH doing the injection. Because today DH left and wont come back before friday night. So obviously I have to do the injections myself starting from tomorrow.  Then this morning, I was making everything ready for the Gonal F, and DH was bussy doing other stuff... and I kinda just thought, that I might as well just go ahead and do myself!  So I did, and truly it was NO problem.  Im really proud of myself, since I have never ever liked needles, and always looked away when I had to have an injections. 

Hope that can be a help, to those of you that are freakin about the needles.

Summergirl: congrats on injecting yourself! I start tomorrow. 

Meds arrived at work today. TWO huge boxes. Got the call that my insurance covered meds!  Co-pay was about $175 for all. I have a "consult" with my RE today to go over all my questions and then sign the consent forms. I must go and write my list of questions now so I don't forget anything.

I saw Krissy's fert report--great news!

I started my injections last night. I stalled then psyched myself up while DH watched Big Brother. He finally sauntered into the kitchen as I was poised with the needle 1 inch from my abdomen ready to launch. He asked me if I wanted him to do it. Nah, I said, I'll do it.

The anticipation was worse than the actual jab. I didn't feel a thing (must have more fat there than I realize )

Thank you for your well wishes! I cant believe how close we're getting. I think my ET will be on Sunday. I will know for sure later today! Yaay!!!!!

Nic: Well done on your injections. They really are a no brainer at all.

So I had a really crazy morning with kids doctor apointment at 8, DS1 to school, DS2 + DS3 in kindergarden at 9 and then my u/s scan at 10am in another city! 1 hours drive... So I finally get there, sit and wait to 1,5 hours and have to fill out a million papers (why I dont know)! Anyways when I finally get into the doctors office and we get to talk, she tells me that there must be a mistake! Because she is NOT willing to give me a scan!!! And I had to go elsewhere... Anyway I get totally pissed, and basicly storm out the door slamming it!

So now instead of going tomorrow, we are now going at 2am, because I have to get to my clinic tomorrow morning at 9am to get my scan. So far so good, that the scan goes well.

This afternoon/night I have been very dissy, and really feel like I drank a bottle of vodka! My head is also spinning, so Im glad to be checked tomorrow morning.
