Gender and Sperm Ratio; Sperm Sorting outside US

    Hi there

Anyone able to help with my problem please?  I am pregnant with DD2 due in November with a 16 month age gap between her and DD1!  I want to start straightaway for DS after and am researching my options.  With DD1, took 6 months to fall pregnant (I was 35 and DH 40) and for DD2, when we both turned a year older, it took 4 months.

DH does not want to go down IVF/PGD route because of cost.

Is there anywhere people know of where we can send a sperm sample to see whether he has a 50/50 ratio or not as this would help make a decision over what steps to take now.

Also, he would do sperm sorting as it is cheaper but I've heard it has a much lower success rate than IVF/PGD.  Maybe this is because of the quality of sperm afterwards and what's left?  Or maybe because with IVF, they implant more than one embryo.  My husband would not have 4 - I had trouble going for number 3.

Any ideas/help would be much appreciated.  Thanks very much.

    There's a thread about sperm-sorting http://www.in-gender.com/cs/forums/t/44392.aspx

Everyone says sperm are 50-50 but it's so hard to believe sometimes!
