DO PEOPLE THINK...

THAT YOU ARE A FREAK BECAUSE OF ALL THE KIDS??  I FEEL LIKE PEOPLE ARE LIKE...WOW ARE THEY CRAZY!!!!

When I have my entire crew (my kids and step kids) I feel like people do look at me like I'm a freak.  I guess part of it is because I look so young to have 4 kids (i'm 26).

I think our families think that, but when we're out somewhere, I always see people with more than us, so I think, oh, they're lives are more insane than mine!  My mom only had me, so she kinda thinks I'm crazy for having so many.  My bff has 5 so she's about the only one who doesn't think we're crazy! 

I feel like other people do stare at us when all of us go out somewhere together (and I see them stare)....especially now since I have this big preggo belly, lol!  And on top of that I also get those annoying "you really have your hands full with all boys" and "you're having another boy?!" comments.......I get so tired of it and yes it does make me feel like a freak sometimes. 

wow?! really?! i am surprised that families with 4 kiddos are getting stares??? why in the world? 4 isnt that many is it?? i mean, i understand people being shocked by ... i donno.... more kids.... but why do you think people are so shocked by this? i grew up in a family with 4 kids and i did think that was more than average.. but not a ton more... i mean, more than any of my friends families. and i dont know if we got stares?? if anything we were stared at b/c of my brother who has Downs. so maybe i am not a good judge of this?

anyway, 4 is not crazy IMO...the people who are staring must just be jealous of your beautiful families i guess!!!!!

 I always assumed any looks i got were because all the kids are boys because around my area there are many, many families with 4-5 kids.  I guess it depends on the area you live and what the typical size family is.

I must say that i always have an extra glance at a big family but only cause i would love to have lots more kids. 

Honestly, if you have 14 children or more, I'm going to have a good gawk at you!!  If you only have 4 or 6, there's nothing unusual going on there, LOL, actually, I'm jealous!!

I dont have alot of kids but i still get the 'are you crazy look' from ppl when i go out and a couple of comments too. I guess its because i'm young with a young family and a belly...

 I get comments like "are you crazy" , "four wow",  "you must have you hand full", "i hope you're done now" .....so i would say that alot of people do look at me strange... but on the other hand i have met alot of other moms with 4, 5 or 6 ....so i really do not think my family is too big... i just think those comments are from people who just personally can not handle more than 1 or 2 kids.... usually when they say some stupid comment....my response is ....." REALLY??...i could NOT imagine only having 1 or 2..."

You know, I so rarely come across any negativity at all regarding my family and the fact I'm so young (I'm 25)...  I'm almost always so positive about my large family, and the fact I love it the way it is, and my kids are always dressed well, clean and obviousely well fed and healthy.  There's very little people can actually comment on!

And if anyone says anything to me, I always turn it around so the conversation is pleasant or positive...

I have only had a few negative comments from ignorant and rude people...  I normally answer back with a rebuttal or sarcasm.  I've only once or twice been downright nasty back and that was because they said whatever it was in front of my children.  I remember once telling one lady it was a damn good thing she didn't have as many children as I do, because she obviousely can't handle and didn't care for the two she had...  As we were walking away my DS1 just looked at me and said something along the lines of "we're so lucky that everyone in our family loves each other, aren't we"...  It made my heart smile, although I have since tried not to lose my cool like that in front of my children again as I don't think it's nice for them to see.

my favourtie line is..."wow...it must be busy at your house!"  Not that I would know any different...for someone with only 1 or 2 kids I'd probably think..."wow...it must be boring at your house"...but when you don't know any different...its not so bad...we live in a good size house out in the country...so we don't have a house full of extra kids all the time, and they keep busy doing stuff.  Its nice because our closest friends have 4 kids so we don't feel like we are invading when we go visit them or they come here!!!

In my cutesy wootzy neighborhood 2 is the norm.  Anymore then that and you are a freak!  So yes, I do feel like we get stares from people.  Especially now that I'm pg with #4.  People say "wow" when I tell them. 

Around here big families are the norm (very religious) so it's not an issue.  My two are kind of uncommon.  You need at least three to fit in!!!

 i usually dont get any rude remarks pepole just smile at me and say are they all yours?? maybe because im young.  and i proudly say yup!!!!!!!! i dont think 4 is a lot but were i live i usually have the most children i also have a 14 year old stepson i raise full time since he was a baby .. and a baby on the way so that will make 6 we will see what people say then...lol .... oh ya my favirot is when i go grocery shopping and people say to mewhat are you shopping for a month and im like i wish this is like 5 days as my littl e duckling follow behing me
