Yes i tried it also, and i am hoping it is true! It says DD for me! I tried it over my belly and over my palm and it did the same thing both times. So we'll see?!?!

OK so I jsut tried this and I am sooo excited!  It says boy/boy/girl/boy!  I also hope that I could be PG right now, so I held over my stomach just for fun and it went in circles!!!  I hope that means its my baby girl cook'in!  I will POAS either Friday or Sat. to see if PG!  I can't stop grinning....

Hmmm let me get this right, the first swing that it does, is that your first child? or the baby you are current pg for? With me right now, it just keeps moving in circles (girl) but I have a son already... weird.  Before that it did go line, circle, line.  So confused!!

Okay, I can now say the ring trick doesn't always work.  It had always said BBG, and it turned in curcles over my belly, well we found out yesterday, DS3 is on his way.  So that OWT went down the toilet for me.

Before I had Sophie, or knew her sex, I had the ring test done and it swung in circles so I was told I was having a girl. very spooky.

But, instead of working, I have been sitting at my desk trying to do the test again and it seems to be different on different palms. Maybe I just can't keep my hands steady. But it is swinging side to side so I hope it is right!  

 

My mil did the ring and needle test over my belly this past weekend, both said girl. u/s shows boy.

Me, I have officially gone mad!  I got 2 beautiful embies planted yesterday and couldnt wait to get home and put the needle and thread over my belly! (yes, mad).  Before ER and ET I would do it over my wrist and it would do boy/girl (correct, already have) then boy/boy.  After ET when I do it over my belly it says boy/boy.  So I'm doing it heaps of times every day to make sure my embies are still there!  Yes, gone mad!

I did this exact test (wedding ring over the open palm) and it said for me boy/boy/girl/girl/boy and then stopped. First I was excited because I was pregnant at the time and that ment that DC#3 was a girl!! I do have two boys, so it was correct so far! Then I paniced because it just told me that I would have 5 kids....

But I lost that pregnancy (sad that I lost my little girl), and we're only planning one more pregnancy.....so maybe I'll have twins. Wouldn't that just scare the crap right outta me!

thanks, not depressing actually I was ttc a boy so I am glad the ring/needle test was wrong for me. It said G(correct, have one), G, B for me. 

 I just tried it today for first time and it went in circles, then straight and then it stopped. I have a little 1.5 y.o.  girl so the first one was right and now I am 11 weeks pregnant with #2 and it looks like a boy. I always wanted to have many kids, but it looks like I will have only 2. I have not seen a doctor yet and wont see one till I will be 14 weeks, because I have no health-insurance and it takes forever (about 2-3 months) to schedule appointment with the health dep. doctor. I am hoping all is well. 10 years ago I talked to an old fortune-teller who told me I would have 2 kids (boy & girl) and well, so far it goes in that direction 

morning! well i have just done this and it has gone BGB and i have a DS already, pg with #2, desperately hoping for a girl but convinced myself it is another boy, find out on friday, i really hope this is right! we did it for my friend and it was right with her so fingers crossed i have my little girl. x x x x

Well I usually don't go for hocus pocus crap like this, but I hope its right. When I read this post I went running to the jewelry box andwas thinking "Wow, I am a desperate woman", lol. Anyway it said I was going to have a girl, then boy. We'll see. Oh and when I held it directly over my stomach it was boy, both times.

I WAS in the 2WW.  Every day to reasure myself my embies were ok I would hold the needle and thread over my tummy - and every day it would swing side to side - twice.  My two boys were safe.  Yesterday I started spotting, and today I am bleeding like AF.  The needle says my boys are gone.  Sad, sad face...   I really, really believe in the needle.
