I dont know yet if they are girls or boys! Just wishful thinking! Need to think pink! Thanks for the good wishes. I am getting used to the idea more and more each day (dont have much of a choice!) but it is still crazy to think there are two babies inside my belly that will be coming out soon! I willl let everyone know what they are as soon as I find out! Hopefully it will be August 12th at my dr appt.

Hey the power of positive thinking is a great philosophy!  Congrats to you - boy or girl, identical twins are so COOL!!!!  Heck they could probably tell you now what you are  having - I found out at 15 weeks with my last two kiddos... :-)

We are pregnant with twins as well.  I am in my 20th week.  My u/s is scheduled for Friday.  I am so freaked out.  I worry all the time that  one of the babies is not doing well.  I feel all of my movement on the same side (left).  Sometimes its down low and sometimes up high, but always on the left.

We know we are having girls because we did IVF/PGD (1/1000 chance of being a boy).  My oldest son has bet me we will have a boy, but I don't think so.  We started the pregnancy out with triplets, which was a surprise, as we only put two embryos in at transfer.  At around  8-9 weeks we spontaneously lost one of the identical twins.

I guess this is partly why I  am so worried.  I have never lost a baby before and now I am worried about the other babies.

Hi! Its nice to have someone to share worries with! I am 16 weeks now and am still very worried that they are not growing well, etc. Twice the baby....twice the worry! I am sure that wont end even when they come out! I am finally now at ease with the idea of having two! I couldnt imagine the thought of three babies! I am sorry to hear about your loss. I also mostly feel movement on the left, and that was the one that we saw on the last ultrasound that was moving all around like crazy! the other one was just sitting there which began my worries that there was something wrong with "her". I go on Tuesday to see the dr and hopefully put my mind at ease (and see if their is a penis or not...hoping not). They are identical so I dont even get a 50/50 shot! Figures! Keep me updated on your ultrasound appt! Good luck!

Statistically more identicals are female then male.  Although another IG member "Lil Miss Bella" has identical twin boys a while ago.  Another member had identical twin girls recently.

My 20 week u/s went well today.  Both babies measured at 20 weeks.  Baby A was curled up into a ball and wasn't moving much.  She weighs 10 oz.  Baby B was all stretched out and kicking the heck out of Baby A.  She weighs 12 oz.  My OB was called out on a delivery, so I had to reschedule with him for Tuesday.

HI Michele, just wondering how everything is going and how you are doing?

Don't worry about just one of them kicking as that happened with mine the whole time, twin A kicked all  the time and Twin B never kicked, and they are still like that now!  one is a fidget and the other is not!  I remember going to an U/S appointment at around 14-16 weeks and they were doing somersaults and it was the most amazing thing to see!  They looked like they were having such a blast!

I guess singleton pregnancies don't get as many U/S as us so they don't get to see as much fun stuff!

Well anyway, I hope you are doing well and getting to put your feet up and rest lots.  Take care

Doing well. I have been having terrible sciatic nerve pain but am using one of those pregnancy belts and it has helped alot. I enjoy my ultrasound appts. Yesterdays they were hitting each other in there. I am like..oh great they are boys! I will find out (hopefully) today what gender they are! I am so excited to finally buy stuff for them! They are both moving around alot now. Baby B has flipped all the way around and is head down now and the other has moved to transverse. I dont think there is much room in there for that kind of stuff but they are sure having fun!

    Hi Michele,

Firstly, congratulations.... boy, have you got some fun coming your way! Do you know what sex they are yet, I keep checking!

I'm an identical twin & when our DS1 was 9 months, we found out that we were having identical twin boys, it was a shock! Poor Zack (DS1) was kicked out of a buggy at 18 months !

When I was 30 (7 years ago), I moved 3 hours away from my identical twin to live with my DH. It was sooo hard & I still speak to her at least twice a day! Anyway, I truly believe that my DH was given twins himself to realise what I did for him in leaving my twin sis. He only now understands the unique bond that twins have when he watches them together. Now he understands why I cried for weeks on end!

Anyway, my pregnancy was fab & had an induced natural labour at 38 weeks, Theo was 7lb 5oz & Isaac was 5lb 11oz & no stitches!!!

I really hope you have an easy pregnancy too.... the time will fly by! It really isn't as hard work as you might think either. We have no family locally & my DH is a fireman so always on nights..... I just got on with it & it was & still is so much fun!

I've posted this before, but here is a piccy of me & my sis & my twins, good luck & enjoy xxx
