threeboneg:I could be wrong...maybe my memory is fading, but I feel that the love and adoration we have for our little girl is different than for our boys. She brings out a softer side in all of us!
This is a HUGE reason why I want a DD...there is nothing "soft" about my house! My DH already is too tough on the baby, IMO. I 100% believe he would be totally different if Caden was a girl, but I try to be understanding because he is suffering from GD too (he wanted a girl also). However, he isn't suffering enough to want to try again, unfortunately!
At any rate, I know a DD would bring out the softer side of DH and my big boys, and also teach the Caden that girls are not aliens. I say this last part because my oldest son has had no experience being around girls at all (not even girl cousins or neighbors) and now, at the age of almost 16, he is suffering because of it...he is extremely shy and has no friends that are girls! I doubt he will ever get up the courage to ask a girl out on a date. He flat out does not know how to act around them. But that's a topic for another post!
