Anyone ever get a false "girl" result?

I've been reading some of the posts about Intelligender and realised that lots of people said they'd gotten "Boy" results then went on to have a girl, but nobody seemed to get a "girl"  result then have a boy..Is that something to do with the way the test works (detecting pH levels, yes?) or have I missed something?

I've bought one off eBay for fun but if I get a "girl" result (which I'm hoping for from next u/s) it'd be interesting to know how reliable that is or isn't....

I know quite a few people who got false girl results although, I am told the girl results are a bit more accurate. I would not trust intelligender as its only 50% accurate. Intelligender told me that the tests you buy on ebay are the older test and they are not as accurate. They told me to purchase the new, improved test on their site which I did. All the tests were wrong for me :) Its a waste of money.

Re: Anyone ever get a false "girl" result?

Thanks - I have ordered one as a bit of a giggle but I'm not going to rely on anything other than my ultrasound. Also posted my 12 week u/s picture for "nub theory" people to have a look at and they suggest it's a girl.

Wait and see if the intelligender results say "girl" too and then I have another boy, hahahahaha

Re: Anyone ever get a false "girl" result?

I took one and it said girl.  My "nub" shots also suggest girl.....but I'm hoping for a boy.  All of my symptoms would indicate boy if you believe in any of the old wive's tales and my symptoms are the opposite than with my daughter.  I've heard a lot of people say that makes no difference though.  I guess I will have to wait for the u/s!  Good luck to you!

Re: Anyone ever get a false "girl" result?

In the past week on another parenting group I am on, three different women have found their "girl" results on intelligender tests were wrong- their ultrasounds have shown boys. I don't think this test is any more accurate than nature itself in reality. It has a 50% chance of being correct to begin with...

yes, I got a false girl result.  It turned orange right away, meaning girl. Had my 19 week ultrasound and he is 100% boy.   I'd do it again for fun, but just don't get your hopes crushed over it if it's not the result you want.

Re: Anyone ever get a false "girl" result?

Ohh yeah - that's all boy there!

Well I did it TWO in the end. One said boy (although I'd drunk loads of milk the night before after craving it hahah) and the other said girl, so I'm none the wiser! I have a scan on Tuesday where I'll find out though so fingers crossed for pink!

It was right for me, said girl and she's a girl!  But yeah, I think they're pretty 50-50!
