Hi I'm Trish and new. I have six sons as some of you may know from the Introduction. Everytime I've been told I'm having a "boy" I've taken it lightly and never really understand why some people really want a girl after a number of boys. I grew up with three sisters and two brothers and I can say myself boys are more fun! Sure a girl would be welcomed nicely but I love having boys! I was so suprised when my doctor said I was having my twins Rubin and Jim after my first two sons! I asked whether I was having boys or girls and they predicted a girl and a boy. I was happy, but I was extremely proud to see another penis on my next ultrasound! I will be very happy if my next child (I may be pregnant with my 7th) is another brother for my boys! Think of what you have got rather than what you have not!

 I think you are SOOOO lucky! I would love to have had a few boys, but it never did happen.  It must be nice to be the only female in the house.

A big congrats to you!  It is nice to hear that someone is at peace with a large family of one gender!

im so glad you are happy with what you have got.  i think we all wish we were that at peace.  unfortunately, its not always that easy.  

 I think this is so great!  I have four boys and adore it, i too think boys are lots of fun.

I really don't know why i want a DD, i spend a ridiculous ammount of time wondering why and think alot of it is not wanting to miss out on something - although i have no idea of exactly what i'll miss out on - does that make any sense?

Anyway i love big families and really would love more children and will feel very blessed even if they are all boys.

That is great you feel that way and are happy! I wish I could be at peace with my family makeup. How do you deal with comments from others who assume another girl would be best for your family?? I have a hard time hearing from people who might feel sorry for me because I don't have a balanced family.

I think getting to the place you are at is definately the goal here. Thank you for sharing your story.

I think 7 boys really would be magical... you know how the fairy tales speak about the 7th son of a 7th son.

I'm the opposite.  I only ever wanted girls but have gotten boys so far.  Isn't it rude how if we hope for something too hard we don't get it.  I only ever seem to get things when I've given up on them.  I've given up on a girl and fully expect to see those testicles hanging down (yet again) as I  check between the legs at the birth.  It will probably be a boy because I didn't give up on it being a girl early enough.

I'm afraid I'm not at your envious place of craving another boy but I have resigned myself to it.

I think you have an amazing attitude, I would love to be at peace like you are.  Unfortunately, I don't think that will happen until I have a daughter :(
