Thankyou so much everyone! I think shes so relaxed cos I am, motherhood has been a lot more enjoyable second time round.
Jojogirl my Vbac was amazing, 6hr labour from waters breaking to having her. Got to hospital and was 5 cms, and within an hour I was grunting making a pushing noise so they checked again and was 9cms but had a cervical lip that I wasnt allowed to push against so for 15 mins I was trying my hardest no to- so difficult. Like pink princess my body was doing a lot the week I had her, and I drank a lot of raspberry leaf tea too. Also had a doula present and she was wonderful cos at times I felt like giving up and she would look deep into my eyes and I knew Id be ok. I went to a support group monthly for women who have had cesareans and did a lot of research, weighing up the risks and benefits. Its the best decision I ever made cos I feel healed now, knowing nothing is wrong with my body.
When i pulled her up on my chest I couldnt believe my body did that and she was all warm and slippery, and I cut the cord and was crying and very emotional. My sons csection was an uneccesary op that was done for failure to progress (got to 8cms) but the doc decided a csec was best after many interventions like syntocin drip etc, and I believe he just wanted to get home.
Thanks again for your kind wishes im still on cloud 9 and feel very blessed, people really love the name too which makes me feel warm inside. I think we will prob have one more but not for a few years yet
Love Teagan
