    Re: egg polarity?

So, would I tell by looking at the ultrasound myself where the placenta is located or should I ask my doctor when he does the scan?

    Sweets.

    Re: egg polarity?

There might be *some* indication of where the placenta is attached by how brightly it shines around the baby's amniotic sac. If it seems thicker and lights up more on one side then that is likely the site of the placental attachemnt (if you are at the end of the 1st tri) or where the villi are located if in the early 1st tri. When you look at the picture, remember it is the opposite. You have to imagine yourself standing behind the picture to know the side. So if it is brighter and thicker on the right when you look at the photo then it is a left attachment. Make sense? This is JUST for guessesing purposes, only your doc/tech can tell you on which side of the uterine wall the placenta/villi are attached. HTH! :)

    Re: egg polarity?

Perhaps... just look at it and see where it is shining more brightly (white) and where it is thicker around the amniotic sac (white color on the photo). This will indicate more blood flow and likely site of placental attachment. Rememeber it should be opposite because you are "behind" the photo.

    Redcin:
I go by the average (base cycles) and see which one is higher or lower.  Temps are directly related to progesterone and progesterone favors girls.

Can you explain how you come up with the average temps? DO you just take all pre O temps and average them? How do you figure if a cycle favors boys, girls or has base line temps? I want to start keeping track of this for me. Thanks!

It was easy with her charts because she had so many.  With your cycle, more often than not you cycle will have a nutral base temps.  Then every now and then a cycle will have higher temps than normal or lower temps than normal.  Scientiflly you could add the highest and lowest pre-o temps of that cycle and go by that.  But for her I just looked at her cycles and it was easy to spot the high and lows
