3 or more years ago when I first heard that; I looked it up.  What I found is it is not true.  If the egg becomes fertilized then it is a healthy egg.  Downs syndrome is a DNA problem that can not be caused by the age of an egg but is caused while forming the egg or the sperm before all of this happens

Does your temp ALLWAYS rise the morning after o?  BEcause my cervix seems to get firm and cm changes like two days before my temp rise. 

Yup..unless you have a slow rise.. which is rare

Anyway so after you get a + on the fertlity things you keep checking your cervixfrequently for changes and then go for it, right ?

I'm curious about this too.  I also have a slow rise pattern...I knew it wasn't the most common pattern but didn't realise it was 'rare'. :(  Tis why temps won't help me w/ o+12 either.

Pinkrose - agreed - Canada is cool! My O+12 question is this: is it possible for the cervix to become firm less than 12 hours after O? On the attempt that I became pg, my cervix was soft until 6:00 pm. I was using supps and douche, and could not find any cm, having minimal discharge of any sort, and if anything it was watery both before and after, but again, minimal (there's a good question too - does watery cm sway in either direction? I'm guessing boy, and hoping I was able to get rid of it adequately before we dtd!). I felt O pains at 2:00pm, and at 4:00 pm, dtd at 11:00 pm. So, I could have had an O+17 (if I went by when my cervix became firm) or an O+9 or O+7. Any ideas or input is appreciated

Yes.  Most people's cm and cervix change at the same time.  But others don't.  When this happens you are to watch cm first because it is the cm that will sway.

Yes it can sway for boy, you are looking for creamy or dry
