Well I think I definately ovulated yesterday, last evening to be specific.  I got a + OPK earlier in the day and I have to say it was so painful this month.  I usually have some cramping and bloating but this was terrible.  I had the worst cramping and lots of bloating, I looked 4 months pregnant, still do this morning.   I also had lots of pain on the right side where that huge follicle was.  I wonder if it was so painful b/c of the Clomid producing more follicles and having more than 1 egg possibly released?  Or maybe that huge follicle erupting caused so much discomfort.  I don't know but it was not fun.  I told my dh to not come near me with a 10 foot pole unless he wanted to risk triplet boys, lol!  Just had to share!

Hi TJ!  I am doing great and thank you for asking! :)  After talking with Cindy at HRC and asking her what in her (and the Dr.'s) opinion would give me the best chance for success she said injectibles.  She said she has seen the most success with them.  So that is what I have decided to do and I feel really good about it.  The Dr. recommended Follistim at a low dose for CD3-7.   She also said that instead of 2 u/s like last time I will have 3 this cycle.  And if it looks like I might be over responding to it she will decrease my dose to keep everything on track.  I will also avoid the thin lining I had with Clomid.  They also said I could try Clomid again if I wanted to, but I am worried of having another poor reaction so I am taking their advice and going with the injectibles.  I am hoping for the best this time.  I should start AF in about a week and so begins the roller coaster ride again, lol!

How have you been?  I can imagine you are getting ready for your next and I'm sure BFP cycle!  I can't wait for you to have your FET and I hope it brings you a sweet baby girl!

good luck, c2boys!  I hope this is the one for you.  I think it's great you're going to injectibles.  I hope that lining is fluffy this time!

What I don't get is why they don't start everyone on injectibles?  I mean, if they don't hurt the lining and clomid does, then why not just go straight to them?  Is there a big con that they've mentioned to explain why that is?  Is it just that some women over respond?  I'd rather have to cancel a cycle for an over response rather than a thin lining or lack of a response.....  But, that's jsut me :)

Great!!  I hope you respond well to the meds-- which are you doing Gonal-F or Repronex?   Just curious.  So excited for and hopefully this cycle will be the BFP!!!  This board could use the morale boost as well since we have not had too many success stories with the iui/ms here.   So, we will be cheering for you!!!  What cd are you on?   Keep us posted!!!   WABG-- I wondered why Microsort  did not do the injectible on the first try too?  I wonder if they want the Study to exhibit the least medicated outcome possible so the general public will be more receptive because I know initially I was not eager to take any meds and now look at my situation since I did the meds with that second iui where I overstimmed I am now going full throttle head and on all kinds of meds since I converted to IVF after that cancelled iui/ms attempt.  Crazy........   TJ

I too briefly thought about going with a natural cycle.  I would have at least gotten to the IUI for my 1st cycle if I did go natural!  But I was told that those of us that cycle from afar, going with a medicated cycle, especially an injectible cycle gives them more control over everything and they are then better able to predict ovulation with certainty.  Cindy at HRC told me that cycling unmedicated and out of town like I would be doing makes it very difficult to get the timing just right with a natural cycle.  Especially if an irregular cycle is involved.  If I was local then they could do an u/s everyday in the few days leading up to O if need be to pinpoint the exact time to do the IUI.  So I am hoping the Follistim works well for me and I don't have any crazy reactions to it.  Hopefully only a few more days till AF shows and I am back on that roller coaster, lol!
