Hello everyone,
I've been around this board but never posted. I should never have taken this test, but I did and now I'm just wondering if there is any hope. I've read the below posts and I still can't shake that they are correct for me. They ran my test 3 times. The first time, it was inconclusive. The second time, they said it was "clear boy" and very reactive, whereas females are not reactive at all. However, the control was slightly reactive as well so they were worried about possible contimination of the reagent. Today, they said that it's cleary, very reactive and boy. Has anyone had them TELL you that your was either clearly reactive, BOY, or not at all reactive and GIRL and have the opposite via amnio, or ultrasound? They are sending a kit for retesting. I fibbed a bit, just to see what they'd say and told them that I just got my CVS results today and it's a girl but, of course they just said that there is no explaining this then. So, I told them about the study where male DNA from previous pregnancies can circulate in maternal blood for years. She said, "Well, that might be it then but I'm really stumped if you have a girl." Whatever. So, now, I feel as if I have seen about 3-4 late pregnancy scans all clearly showing male parts and I'm still trying to deny it. FWIW, I am only 10 weeks pregnant, so no, we do not know by u/s but I feel like I know already. Does this make sense? Any input is welcome and will be comforting.
Thanks so much.
