Tell Me Pink or Blue

 I had my us on Tues which confirmed boy. I wish I could pretend it was ok but as selfish and horrible as I sound, I am gutted. I know I will adore him when he arrives and my son will love having a baby brother but I feel like my dream is over. Does anyone have any good advice on getting over GD?

I know how ur feeling it is awful but i promise u ul just love tht wee man when he comes ..... is there any hope for number 3 ???? i was so upset when my 3rd was a boy on us and disbite seeing hiss pee pee i was in denial till he arrived but now i wouldn't have it any other way xxxxxx

Thanks Dazie, it does help to know other people feel the same and I do know i'll love him to bits when he is here but I am just worried about getting through the next 4 months of pregnancy feeling so down. I'm sure it will pass when i get used to the idea, its silly really cause before I was pregnant I knew it was 50/50 boy or girl and I felt fine with it.How did you find coping with 2 babies? There will only be 18 months between my boys xx

 

 

Big hugs!  I'm sorry that you are down right now.  Have you visited the GD forum yet?  The ladies there are so wonderful and they understand it all.   I think TMPOB just got lucky, I really don't believe in them at all...they are 50/50 just like everything else.   Do some of the fun stuff that comes with the baby.  Shopping, room decorating, etc.

Do you plan on more children?  If so, don't give up on your DD yet.  And I'm sure you will find the experience of having two of the same some exciting.  I want another just to experience same sex siblings. 

Hi I too have two crazy little boys who are love to bits, but when we found out I was pregnant again by accident, we were so hoping that it was a girl this time around. We heard about pink or blue and purchased right away, we first got the answer that the test ws contaminated by male dna - even though it was done by my female doctor. They said we had to send another 50usdollars to retest. Which we did this time the test came back saying BOY! So after reading everyones comments I just don't know what to think - Is it selfish to hope that it is wrong??? We have done the ring test and Chinese test which all say girl and this pregnancy is totally different from the boys. Is it true that you can tell babys sex through the mothers blood?? thanks for listening! 

TMPOB is nothing but a scam!!! I work for an OBGYN and there are a ton of law suits for false results!!  They only get the results correct 50% of the time. You may still have your girl.

Hi! Yes I am in exactly the same boat as you! I too am 16 weeks and my husband and I are desperate for a baby girl as we already have an adorable baby boy. I am having an u/s at 18 weeks on sept 30 (so it's a little later than yours). I have also felt like complete s.. since I got the results (have not been sleeping and have been crying a lot)? I really regret having taken the test too because it has ruined my life since then! I took it at 13 weeks and got the results back at 14 weeks. LIke you, I also took the test before checking this site. In fact, my husband found this site after we got the result from them and he too was in disbelief. It seems like so many people got wrong results from these people, especially those who got boy results so I am trying to hold onto a glimmer of hope, although I think I am having a boy. I do hope we both get the little girl we want. I will keep my fingers crossed for you and let's keep each other posted!

Hi sparkle 2, i must have been reading an old post. just saw that you've already had your u/s that confirmed boy. I am sorry you did not get your little girl you've dreamed about. I will be in the same boat as you in 10 days :( I am sure of it. And I know I will be gutted too. But deep down, I am sure that when we meet our baby we will fall in love with him again. And I say we go for a third using PGD. I am starting to save up for it now! My husband and I are committed to having a girl!

 I would SO go pgd next time if you find out another boy!At least you have that opportunity-it doesn't exist in Australia :( but good luck you might still find pink....

i totally don't get why PGD only exists in the US right now.... i guess maybe because it is still so new. i'm sure eventually it will go everywhere. i will let you know what i find out next tuesday. hopefully they can see it! imagine if the baby's legs are crossed! i swear if that happens, i am going for a private scan a week later!!
