I'd like a little feedback on my attempt for the boy. I think we may have had intercourse a little too early in my cycle and may have placed myself in the girl zone. Past bbt charting has shown a dip on cycle day-14 and a sharp rise on cycle day-15. Cervical mucus has usually "peaked"on cycle-day14 around 6:00pm. So I've concluded that intercourse around noon on day-14 would be ideal for the boy.
Our attempt this month went as follows on my regular 28 day cycle:
Cervical Mucus on cycle day-14, but strangely awoke to a bbt of 98.1. Very unusual because this would normally be "dip" day. Maybe the excitement of it all made my temp jump. Who knows???
Husband asked me what my gut feeling was and we decided to go ahead and make the attempt for the boy since I was showing very fertile cm still and concluded that the temp spike may have been a fluke. (by the way...BIG MISTAKE to assume)
Husband abastained for 6 days
Alkaline Douche 30 prior to intercourse
Inserted Pre-seed 15 min prior
Husband drank about 2 cups of coffee 30 min prior
Rear-entry
Orgasm
Continued to have ewcm throughout the evening....Yikes!! It was suppossed to have "dried up" by 6:00pm. Now this is the tricky part. I awoke to a bbt of 97.2 the next day (cycle day-15) with only a wet vulva and no cm. I did however completely "dry up" around 12:00pm that afternoon with no wetness only little bits of globby cm. Cycle day-16 temperature was at 98.3 and definetely creamy sticky cm. Sorry TMI! I've been charting since Dec of 05 to make sure I had it down pat....why oh why did my cycle have to shift on our "attempt month". What do you ladies think? Do you think I ovulated cycle day-14 in the evening? Or maybe the spike may have started happening early on cycle-day 15 after the temp dip.... I just don't know. I think I may have put myself in the grey zone for a girl. I love my 2 girlies, but I'm so ready for tonka trucks and bugs. I know the shettles method says my chances are still high within 24 hours of ovulation, but I think I'm pushing it even if I did ovulate cycle day-15 early morning.
Thanks for any input. I'd really appreciate it.
