Okay, so I don't post much lately because I am using the internet at the library temporarily and my 4yr old comes with me and it's hard post with him talking and sitting in my lap.  Anyways, he's not with me today so I thought I would let everyone know how I am doing and also ask how all the other July Mamas are doing.  So, this has been the most textbook pregnancy that I have had.  I mean, when you read those preg. books and it says, "you might experience this"---that's me, lol.  I was always always able to skip through all of that crap in those books and now I am reading it, lol.  Anyways, it kind of sucks...So far I am dealing with finding out I was having twins and finding out one had died at the same time, then the heartburn and indigestion, swelling, constipation, shortness of breath, feeling too full to eat (but still LOTS of weight gain), headaches, placenta previa and just about anything else you can think of EXCEPT h-roids (Pray that I DON'T get them!!!).  I have been telling DH how my back hurts so much all the time and I have learned that there are certain ways I cannot sit or I won't even be able to get up and walk!  FINALLY I have figured out that it's not really back pain but it's my TAILBONE!!  Has anyone else had tailbone pain??  Mine is constantly hurting and I am worried it's gonna break!!  Also, my baby is so low that I sometimes feel his head or hand on my cervix (or in that general area) and I get sharp, stabbing pains down there.  It feels like he is either turning his head or flexing his hand or something.  Please tell me I am not the only one.  I feel like I am a huge walking contraction, lol!!  I would love to hear from all of you other ladies!!!!

I hear you! Heartburn most nights, back pain, feel like I can't breathe, feeling full but still stacking on weight (I have never been this heavy at this stage in my other pregnancies and it is a little scary!) Sometimes it feels like he is pinching my bladder, ouch! Swelling and headaches too. I just feel so huge and uncomfortable in general with no energy. I fall into bed at night and I am so glad to finally be able to sleep. I have to say I am not one of those mums that just love being pregnant. I love feeling the baby move though and obviously it is all so worth it in the end, but I am glad this is the last time (so I say now!) 12 and a half weeks to go and counting.

Sorry for the loss of your twin that must have been very hard for you.

Wishing you no more backache and heartburn! GL with placenta previa too, I have heard that can sometimes improve? Not 100% sure though.

I feel your pain :)

The only tip I can give you (which might not really help) is if you go out to eat do not sit in a booth.  Sit at a table with chairs.  The uprightness of the booth totally hurts your back and then once you eat, you can barely breathe because you can't lean back when you feel full, etc.

That's my only advice!  LOL  And it only helps if you eat out!

Oh, I have one more piece of advice.  I always get my heartburn at night when I'm laying in the bed.  If this is just too much for you, try sleeping in a recliner.  Being slightly upright keeps the acid down better.

Okay, so I wanted to let you all know that I went in for my 28 wk checkup today which included my sono to check my placenta and my glucose(sp?) test.  My placenta moved up and looks great and I am so relieved but now....I have excess amniotic fluid and the dr. checked other possibilities and said baby's stomach and kidneys look fine but I probably have GD.  My levels were up (156) and I didn't have anything to eat or drink this morning (so it probably would have been higher if I did).  So, I will be going in the morning for my 3 hour test.  I know I can do the diet thing....BUT I am having my last candybar today, LOL--I just bought it last night!!  I got a oh so cute to die for picture of my little one's face (he has a cute button nose!!).  The Dr. said I am looking at having a big baby and yes, he is right on my tailbone and that's probably why I am having such pain with it.  Anyways, the Dr. guessed that the baby would be 9 1/2+ lbs!  I do feel jipped, lol...we will be skipping the newborn clothes and diapers once again...  All in all everything is great and I am so relieved to know my placenta has moved up.  I hope everyone else is doing great too!!  I will update again later!!  Much Love!Hearts

Baby Bear BoyP.S.  Yes, it's still a little boy in there and I think I have picked a name (Benjamin Elijah)--Let me know what you think of that name please.

Very cute name!  We are actually using Eli as our first name, so I'm kind of partial to that.  I also had very bad tailbone pain, and had to change my chair at work it was so bad.  But, as of a few weeks ago, it actually lightened a little.  I don't cringe when I have to stand up now.  So, I hope you get a little relief like I have.  Also, think of it this way... when you gain this much weight, it is usually all over and you get extra padding on your rear.  Not with pregnancy though.  All that extra weight is mostly in the middle, resting right on your tailbone.  I hope you find relief soon.  Good luck!

Love the name! So glad your placenta has moved up, that must be a relief for you. Looks like I am in the same boat as you. I went for my 28 week check up and have excess amniotic fluid too. It looks as though I have GD from my first glucose test and I am having a fasting test tomorrow morning. He is guessing a big baby too. I also have anaemia which explains how rotten I have been feeling. I have never had GD or anaemia before and I am a bit worried because my ob is on holidays for 3 weeks when I will be 36-39 weeks and from what I have heard usually the baby has to be born by about 37 weeks. I am worried that they will just put off the birth until he returns from holidays. I am so big now as it is. Well at least we will be able to support each other through the diet etc, this is all new to me! I will update when I have my results.

Hi, mamaof4boys. Just wondering how your results went for diabetes? My second test came back negative, but I still have this excess amniotic fluid so I don't know what is causing it.

Taimi+2boys!, Sorry for taking so long but I haven't been on here in a week and a half!  Anyway, My readings were still high enough for them to make me do the diet but not for the pills or shots (thank God).  Hoping that I have it under control now as I still get some headaches but not as often.  I am not sure what else would cause excess amniotic fluid but maybe it kind of normal to some extent.  Maybe you could watch your diet and see if that helps, idk.  I hope you are feeling well though!  Hearts
