OK here is the question for ttc a boy.  Should I buy fertile cm or false unicorn?  I really like how well fertile cm is doing for other people on this board so I am thinking about that.  However false unicorn is suppose to regulate cycles- which is something I need anyway.  My cycles can very from beweent30-38+ days with no EWCM.  I can get two separate positives on opks at 2 different times.  FU is also suppose to help with EWCM.  I wish I could afford both, but that isn't realistic for us.  I will be getting my IUD out in November and we would like to tcc Dec. or Jan.  So ttc boy ladies what would you do?????

That is a tough question.  I think I would go with the fertile cm.  I have been taking false unicorn for about two weeks and no change in ph cm.  However, Alondra saw a difference in two weeks of taking the fertile cm.

Now, of course I am regulated. My AF's have been 30, 31, 29.  So, I am not too worried about regulating out. now, I was just getting ready to post this: my sister and her Dh went to the doctor to get more analysis done on his sperm count.  She asked about false unicorn for him because we read that can help with male infertility. The doctor said no to that herb because it produces estrogen and he doesn't need estrogen...it could harm him.  Same thing with flaxseed oil. It helps to produce estrogen. He gave her a list of other herbs that produce estrogen, but she couldn't remember them

Now, what I think is interesting in that, is that it seems higher estrogen women produce boys.  So, then you have that as an extra bonus for false unicorn

False unicorn: regulates mestrual cycles, makes ovaries alkaline, healthy for the women reproductive organs, estrogen producer, creates cm.

Fertile Cm: creates more cm, alkalizes cm, makes conceiving more simple

Acutally, that is a really tough call. Now, I am really going to have to think on that one....maybe you could buy the fertile cm and spread it out more....

FertileCM is working for me so far. I don't know anything about FU. I surfed the wed and found FU to be a little pricey and it may cause side effects. I would not take it because I'm the kind of person that always gets the side effects from medication. I think you should consult with your doctor if you decide to take FU. As for the EWCM I would have to wait for O day get closer to see If I have more or not. If I were you I would try FertileCM on one cycle to see if it works for you.  This is what convinced me to try it.

FertileCM is designed to increase fertility by....

Naturally supporting the production of cervical fluids.
Increasing arousal and sexual stimulation.
Increasing hydration of the mucin (liquidity of mucus).
Promoting mucus thinning and alkalinity.
Supporting a healthy endometrial lining for successful implantation

That is true. Fertile cm doesn't seem to be having any side effects. I personally don't know if I will buy any false unicorn after I run out. i just don't love it.  We will see about the fertile cm

Wow this trying to decided how to ttc a boy stuff is really hard Confused [*-)]  I feel like I should have a PHD on it by now Happy Wink [;)]  The only reason I was thinking of FU was because I wanted shorter cycles.  We have from Jan-April to ttc because of our health insurance and I wanted as many cycles in there as possible.  When your cycles run a month and a half it can take up a lot of time.  So you say flax seed oil has estrogen in it?  I wonder if that would shorten my cycle?  Do you know of any thing else that might?  I guess I'll go google it Happy Wink [;)]

Well i have decided to go with the Fertile cm because I feel environment is key in ttc a boy.  I will take flax seed oil in hopes of shorting my cycles.  Thanks for the help!

I do think  ultimately the fertile cm is best. I would probably choose that. I am also taking the flaxseed oil pill.  Whatever works, right? Yes, I agree that we should have a ph.d in this.  You should see my notebook. All full and all about ways to conceive a boy.

Gull,

I have read your frustration with ttc a boy and let me tell you this.  After my dd was born, I decided to not go on any bc. If God wanted us pg, then it was okay with me, so I thought.  We BD whenever we could.  That was probably about 2-4 times a month.  I know, not much, but hey when you gotta an infant sometimes it just is not easy. Anyway, the week after my dd's birthday, would you believe I got pg! and it happened to be my boy!    I have read recently that the longer it takes to conceive, the better the chances of boys. So, keep your chin up.  You may just get your boy!

Thank you so much Angela for your reply. I  have been ttcing for a while now with no luck but I'm a very religious person and I know when god is willing to give me my son he will. The time hasn't come yet, and I'm great full for every thing. If I meant to have a little boy this time, then I will have him no matter what I do.
Is it too late for me to order fertile CM as I'm on CD4 and If I order it tonight or tomorrow then I will get it some times next week one week away from O day, I usually get +OPK on CD14 and ovulate on CD15. I didn't know about that until tonight, it was interesting and would like to try it but I'm afraid I'm too late. what do you think?

I thought you have two DDs, I didn't know you have a Ds (Congratulations). Hopefully your chance of conceiving a boy is better since you have one.
So, when are you trying? I wish you the best of luck

Well from what Alondra has said it has affected her in under 2 weeks.  It might be to late, but then again it might not.  If it were me I would give it a try because what can you lose?

Gull - I agree. I would buy it. It won't hurt you for sure.  Yes, I do have a DS, but he died at childbirth.  So, even though I do have a son, he is not here on Earth with me. I would like to have another son, as I have always wanted a little boy and little girl (I know don't we all), but I also feel it is a huge monumental step in the direction of healing for my family if we were able to conceive a healthy baby, particularly a boy.  I would like to be able to go to the store and see boy clothes and not burst into tears knowing I can't buy them.

Anyway, good luck to us all!
