Since we were having Wyatt, I decided to paint Jake a new room. I used an overhead projector for this room as well. I did it while preggo with Wyatt. (It was funny to see me in  bio-hazzard suit get up with a vapour mask and everything! )

I couldn't decide on a theme so I used an assortment of tv characters he liked.

Jake loves his room, somedays its still too stimulating when its nap and/or bedtime. Especially with the new thomas the tank sheets nana bought for his big boy bed! urgggh!
At night when he brushes his teeth he runs into his room and brushes the little robots teeth as well!

The Dr Seuss room now belongs to Wyatt (until we have another boy - if its a girl I'll redo it for sure!!!!)

As for being stimulating...My DS#2 went through a "green" phase and we had all different shade of clashing green in his room...UGH!

I bet he loves all his favorite cartoon characters!  That's great that he brushes the robot's teeth too LOL

I remember doing a large Winnie the Pooh in DS1's room.  I don't know if you used a similar process, but I printed out a coloring sheet online onto one of the clear overhead sheets.  I didn't have a projector so I kind of used a lamp to shine behind the overhead so the design showed up on the wall.  Then I traced it in pencil and painted it with wall paint.  Is this similar to what you did?

It was really fun and turned out nice.  So easy, anyone could do it!  Ah. . . now you're making me get antsy to do a sailboat one!  LOL
