So, I called my doctor and talked to her nurse. She said since I am still breastfeeding and I took 2 mini pills yesterday, I should be fine. If I make it through this, I sure won't let it happen again. It is just too stressful. Not that we wouldn't be ok with another baby, but I would really like to put all my research into practice when TTC.

Now add the pill to it and you should be fine. Glad you called the doc. '02 '04 '07 '09 sometime around '12 to complete our family

I understand your stress and concerns. ....May I introduce William to you my ds#3. He was a minipill baby after I took one at 10 am and the next at 1130pm the follwing day. ...... yes It was hard to believe that I was prego again with a 20 month and a 5 month but life has its ways and here I am 18 months after his birth getting ready to try again. While I bf him I used the shot that lasts 3 months, but had lots of side effects. My dh just got in the habit if pulling and that has been good so far. Plus with 3 kids thaht alone is pretty good. :-) Good luck

Oh ...I too agree that taking 2 pills you will be fine. I did nothing aobut mine cause I was unaware about how important timing was, I just popped one every or so. (I use sloppy birth control as my dh often says.) My friend just went through this and actually got that plan B, which is the same drugs that are in the mini pill but in large does. So you should be great. Have you gotten you period yet? (since bfing at all)

I was considering plan B until the nurse said I should be ok. However, I am still questioning whether I really am ok. My body just does not feel right - I know, it's probably too early for me to have symptoms - it's probably just stress over the whole situation.

You are supposed to take the mini pill at the same time everyday, and I guess even 3 hours late can make a difference. I also read that it is best to take it 4 hours before bed so that it can start working before BDing. The doctor never mentioned this to me. I guess I am starting to question use of the mini pill. I took it after my first son was born with no problems, but I never really knew how it worked.

I really don't know if I've had my period or not - I was bleeding for several days after my 6 week checkup, and while taking the mini pill I spot a lot.

Well, I just know I have been educated on the mini pill today. I went on it after my first son and was told none of that either. My girlfriend got pregnant on the mini pill and got pregnant again when switching brands(a few years later). I really do think in your case that you will be fine. You have to remember even when someone is actively trying they don't get pregnant right away. So my advice would be to put it out of your head. I know this is easier said then done because after I had my second son I had two oops and was completely stressed from the time it happened until I could take a test. In my case (both times) I was ok. Hope this helps....

Thanks for everyone's support - I'm glad I have all of you to talk to. When I ran it all past my husbance, all he could say was that this time it was my fault (just joking of course). With DS#2 he decided not to use a condom and said if I got pregnant then it was meant to be - well I guess it was meant to be because it only took that one time and I was indeed pregnant. Anyway, the whole thing has taught me to be more careful!
