The pencil test

Hi girls, heres another test we can all try, it's the pencil test.

This seems to be very accurate on another site, & I just did it & it showed my 2ds that i have then it showed up a dd that i'm hoping to have. I'd be interested to see how you all go.

You need a pencil with an eraser ontop, get a threaded needle & pierce thru the eraser so it dangles vertically. 

Next turn your wrist up right & hold the pencil about 1cm above it.

It will start with a wobble, then if it

Swings side to side it's a boy

If it circles it's a girl.

It will stop still when there is no more babies.

Try it & let me know if it's worked for you too.

I saw this on another board also and have done it at least half a dozen times since then!  It is always the same:  boy, boy, boy, girl!!  Right now I have 3 ds and I will be making my first girl attempt this month.  I hope it's right for both of us!

This has always been wrong for me.  It says girl, boy but I have 2 dd

If you have two of the same sex in a row, how do you know it has moved on from one child to the next?  Do you manually stop it once it shows the first child's sex, and then reposition it to do the second child?  Does it stop on its own?  Or do you count out a number of seconds and then it's on the next child?  I'd love to do this, as I am superstition personified.

The pencil will get a good swing up & you will notice it slows right down, it dosent stop between but you will see it slow down before it takes off again.

Give it a go, we may as well have some fun in between all this stress of getting timing, positioning, and diets right.

I tried this, but I used a ring on a string, and if it goes side to side it is a boy, and up and down longwise to your wrist, then it is a girl. Between babies, it goes in circles " while it is thinking". I have done it a million times in the past few months and it always says,boy, boy, girl. Lets  hope it is right. It doesn't count twins or miscarriages. I may have to try the pencil one too to see if it comes out the same. :)

I just tried this test on my mum who has 5 children and to my amazement it got every one of us right & then stopped dead after the 5th. I am now such a believer in this, amazing. (I even dried dh and luckily it did exactly what it did for me, I'm glad we are thinking the same)

Well, I just did this test with both the ring and the pencil, and both said boy, girl, boy.  I wonder, though, if it's just us affecting the movement of the suspended object with tiny, almost involuntary movements of the hand that's holding the thread, because boy girl boy is what I want, and it seems like most are getting what they want.  I really hope it's actually true, though !  Maybe I can experiment by having dh do it and not telling him which motions mean which things. 

 

Being a psychic I love these kind of things. Its been right with all my kids. Tip use a needle or one of your rings and string it on some thread. Put it over your belly button. This is more accurate being this is where the baby will be. Have fun!

I could use a psychic right now!!!  Can you give me anymore things to try other then pencil test?? 

Funny thing...I have done psychic readings in the past.  So has dh.  We were told after ds#1 was born that I would be pregnant again in the month of August and it would be a girl.  She also told me that I would only have 2 children even though I knew that I wanted 4.  I went through the second pregnancy confident that I was carrying a girl and when they told me boy....I was so sad.  The thing was that this particular pyschic got everything else right.  I mean stuff she could NOT know.  It was freaky.  But...she got that wrong and I was so bummed.  Now I figure I will just wait my 6 weeks and find out for sure and not get wishful anymore.  Although I do wish I had the "gift".  Since I took the gender test and it revealed "boy", my dh wants me to accept it already and not go seeking anymore false hope.  I guess he's right....but I do have a feeling that I am doing that without wanting to.  So in 6 weeks I may be due for another mini depression, but will eventually come to terms once I see the babys face.
