mum of two and a half boys

Hi my name is Tina and I'm from Australia. I have 3 DS, 4yrs, 2yrs and 3 weeks. While not trying to conceive right now, hoping to start tracking and trying as soon as I stop breast feeding, probably towards the end of the year. Have been a follower of this forum since I found out I was pregnant with DS #3, as I was extremely disappointed he wasn't a girl. Ofcourse, now I love him to death and can't imagine having a girl instead of him. Still hoping to give my 3 beautiful sons a sister one day. I'm 33 now so don't want to wait too long.

Good luck to all. Keep us posted.

I am the mother of two dear little boys ages 3 and 6.  We are trying this month to conceive a dd using the gen select kit and adding cranberry, using PH strips, and my ova cue monitor.  I am very excited to have this website during this whole process.  Good luck to everyone else currently trying for a dd, may we all get the bundle of pink we are hoping for.

Hi Girls, This is my first time here but I feel like I know you all as I have been watching, learning,& reading all your stories for a couple of months now. My name is Aleisha & I live in Australia, I have a wonderful husband who is a builder (very handy) and I have 2DS, Jay 4 and Cooper 16months. We are now gearing up to start ttc a much wanted DD in November. My dream has always been to have a DD and this is absoulutly our last chance to get her, I've had to work on DH to get another one as it is. My boys are my life and as many of you say you wouldnt have it any other way but to complete my life I feel I need my DD.(Sorry if all the abreviations are wrong is there any where I can look up what they all mean?) I do have a question for you though (maybe more for Maureen) I heard 1yr ago about a new prenatal 5week Mucas Test, done just like a pap smear, which tests for a number of certain diseases as well as being able to tell you the gender of the baby, this test was still being trialed but was meant to be on the market by the end of 2006. I have written to so many people to try & find out if this is still going to be the case (Monash IVF in Melbourne, magazines, even emailed our local TV stations) but no one will ever get back to me.  So I was just wondering if anyone else has heard of this test & when it might be on the market. Well thats it for my first time hope it was ok, thinking pink every second, minute, hour of the day,    Aleisha

P.S I'm sorry to mom2angelboys, I only just saw now that our sign on names are very alike, I have always called my boys my angel boys so I thought it was appropriate, sorry again, Aleisha

Hi!  I am glad to find this thread!  My husband and I are the proud parents of two amazing boys.  With that being said...it has always been my dream to have a daughter.  In an honest moment...I probably would stop at two unless I could be sure the next was a girl...so for that reason, among others, we are going to use IVF with pgd.  I like the idea of pgd because you can eliminate the risk of chromosomal abnormalities.  I am nervous to go through the whole IVF process and will likely begin in one week!  I am just waiting for my period to start.

I hope we can all go through our journies together and support one another.

Looking forward to getting to know you all better!

Pip

Hi Pinkbaby, Thanks for your nice response, I am actually in Sydney, and dont worry I intend on doing all I can to find out about this new test, it's definatly out there it's just a matter of when, there is a report that was written about this 5 week test & it was dated July 2003 & it said it will be available in 2yrs time from that date, so 3 years on it must be close, will keep you informed if I find out any more about it, & the best part is it is it's being done here in Australia.

Hi there

My name is Dianna - I live in Sydney, Australia - My Husband and I are both 31 and have been blessed with an amazing, happy, healthy BOY - he is close to 7months old.

We fell pregnant on the first try - ironically it was my DH's 30th Birthday - needless to say this year he got a wrapped gift - I'm a little too busy to be pregnant yet....however having said that we are looking to start actively trying mid-late next year and are hoping/praying for a sister for my son.

Either way I will feel blessed to have a happy, healthy baby but a Pink one would be nice.

I found this site after I took the BGM test and although I don't post very often I do read through about once a week.  I live in Iowa and just had DS #3 in January (Hayden - 5, Cameron -3 and Brennen - 6 mos).I have been wanting a DD for a long time and were even on the Dr. Phil show about it.  I am too scared to try any of the natural gender swaying methods as I just don't have enough trust in their effectiveness or maybe in my ability to fullly carry them out.  I love my boys with all of my heart but I would like to know the joy of a daughter as well and I think that 4 children may be our limit financially.

We have contacted both Microsort Clinics (VA & CA) but that even worries me as I seriously think that DH has mostly male sperm (his siblings all have boys as well).  So, we are going to try Microsort & PGD at The Fertility Institute in Las Vegas.  Las Vegas is a more affordable desination from where we live - in the middle of nowhere and I have heard good things about them.  I don't think that we will be ttc until June '08.  Has anyone used this clinic???

I read that your chance of getting pregnant on your own during any given month is about 25%.  If this is true than it doesn't make the IUI or IVF odds sound so bad - anyone know if that statistic is actually true?

Hi I am Jamie. I am 28(almost 29) years old and I live in the USA with my dh and my two sons. I have a 5 year old and a 2 year old.My dh and I have been ttc a girl since Oct. of 2005. We have had a few setbacks along the way. I was in a car accident in Feb of this year and in the hospital for a while. We got the go ahead to TTC again in May and I did conceive only to lose that baby at 4 weeks. WE are now TTC again and I am preparing to O again.

I take 3200 mg of cranberry a day

400 mg of Calcium with D a day

folic acid

Acidipholis

250 mg of B-6 and 250 of B-12

I also have to use Claritin for allergies

We use missionary position and jump and dump

This time we had a 3 day cut off, hope this works.
