Folic Acid (it's supposed to be with B-12 too right? i've seen a good blend with both, but it also had vitamin C, is that ok? is it ok for DH to take as well?)
I agree with Red don't take the C, you will get enough in your diet from the fresh fruit and juices. You should have 2 fruits a day (1 banana) and one other. As for the b-12. If you don't find a combo without c then just take them separately. I take FA 2x800 and then a B-12 which I cut into pieces. It is 250 mcg and I cut it in 4 pieces so I get 62 mcg a day. The RDA is only 2.8 mcg a day!!! B-12 is a wsv (water soluable vitamin) so it isn't toxic even in doses much much higher.
Fish Oil (is it the omega 3 & omega 6 variety that i need?)
I take a 3 which has some 9 also. Nordic Naturals
Potassium (do i want Potassium gluconate or citrate, etc.?)
Controversy. In the gender books you are supposed to take Potassium CHLORIDE. This is only available by rx in doses of 600 mg per tablet. By law K can only be sold in 100 mg tablets over the counter and is usually only in citrate, gluconate or tartrate forms (except where I've seen it at The Vitamin Shoppe sells choloride form but only 100 mg). I've decided not to stress over this one too much. I take either 2 or 3 tabs of citrate. If you wanted to take it according to the book it would be a WHOPPING 12 tablets a day (no thanks) or a rx form of 2x 600 mg Potassium Chloride tabs. BE CAREFUL with this b/c it is a health risk for you (heart attack!)
Alfalfa (made my cycles longer. would it give me any PH raising benefits if i took it like 3 days pre O to AF?)
I dont use that one.
False Unicorn (are there any adverse side effects to taking this? how much & for how long should this be taken?)
Sorry don't know...
thanks in advance!
