Just wondering...How many got their DG from Swaying?

We didn't try to sway for the gender we got with any of our children, and our third was just a happy accident, period. But I suppose if I had been swaying, all of our sways would have been considered failures. Everything that's supposed to sway toward one gender gave us the opposite every single time. Timing, diet, PH, all of it.

I swayed girl for my first and got my DD.  For my second I did not sway but my lifestyle was definately boy territory - I got a boy!  So I guess you could say both sway lifestyles (intential the first time, and unintential the second time) worked for me.

I swayed girl and I am having a girl coming in Sept. I do believe swaying can help, but is far, far from 100% or even close to that.

I didnt know about swaying when I got pregnant with my son. With my daughter I was going to sway in about 6 months but got pregnant accidently. So no swaying with either baby.

Wow. That's pretty amazing that a lot of you got your DG by swaying. This baby was a total surprise. So I didn't get a chance to sway. I knew a little bit about timing. But that's pretty much it. The conception of this baby was pretty much identical to my DD's. At least as much as I can remember. So I thought maybe it would happen naturally again. This has given me A lot to think about, if we ever do try for baby number 5. First, I need to get to that place of acceptance before we even go down that road.

To be honest I would do a lot more research before you decide to go the swaying route. I don't know if the spreadsheets are still on the swaying board but you can check. The stats show many many "failed" sways. Over the years I've been on this site I have seen so many swaying opposites (it seems to be little better than 50% IMO). I pinned a lot of my hopes on swaying and had DS3. A lot of the "failed" swayers seem to leave and so you don't always get much of their feedback. Swaying has worked for some, but you have to be fully prepared for the possibility another boy.

I agree with you 100%. I wouldn't even consider swaying if I wasn't okay with Another boy. I have to get to that place where I'm at peace with never having another Daughter. I unfortunately don't feel like I was there yet with this pregnancy. And that breaks My heart because I Just wanted To be happy, period. I'll be looking into all of our options. So It won't be anytime soon. Thank you again for your help Southernbutterfly!

I hope I'm not dashing your hopes, just trying to show both sides of swaying. One thing that does bode well for you is having already convieved a DD naturally which means your body may be more easily "swayed" into girl territory. Whatever route you take in the future and whatever the outcome, I wish you and your sweet little ones all the happiness in the world.Heart

Oh no, not at all. I'm not sure what our plans are right now. I just wanted to think about options. Some days I think I'll be okay with our Family as it is. And I would ultimately just like to feel complete with how things are. So I guess time Will tell and we'll see how I feel after this baby is born. You are very inspirational. You make Me feel positive about my life with three boys. While, that's not the family we had planned. Or how I pictured my life. I really want to embrace it. Thank you again for your kind words!
