My kid's big mouth

My oldest son (who is almost 11) is a very vocal child, but is increasingly lacking tact.  It's getting to the point where I am constantly having to remind him to please watch his sarcastic tone on a daily basis, ugh!  Over the weekend, I got to see my aunt who had I haven't seen since I was a child.  She's also never met the boys, either.  We hugged each other and I introduced my little crew.  She goes, "Wow!  Three boys"!  That's when my little Mr. Big Mouth blurted out, "You know, that really just bugs me when people say that.  Could you not say that anymore in the future"?  I could've crawled into a hole at that point...  I know she genuinly didn't mean any disrespect, as she has three boys herself, but I guess it showed me that kids really are receptive to other's comments whether they show it or not.

Lol good for him! People should watch what they say! Even though her comment wasn't negative, he clearly picks up on others that are x

Wow, it just goes to show that kids pick up on more than we think. I understand your embarrassment but I have to admit, I've had that same thought so many times! I hate it when people make neg remarks about the number of boys we have right in front of my kids.

I wish he'd blurt that out to the people who are being obviously rude, LOL.  I feel bad because she honestly meant no disrespect by it.  I need to train him to blurt it out to the obnoxious buttheads instead.

 well obvioulsy regardless of how it was said or intended...it was just one too many times heard lmao...she was just the unlucky one to get the bashing that everyone else diserves lol..thankfully my children are not quite old enough to graps it..however...Ive let go a few times now during this pregnancy and unleashed on a few ppl who just urked me too much lol...so Im sure one day they will too lmao...

I can understand your feelings about his mouth... I have one like that too, but oh, poor boy if he notices it that much to feel the need to say something.  Most of the time my  boys will ask me in the car why people think it's such a big deal or ask me if something is wrong with having so many boys.

 LOL! I might ask if your son could accompany me places when I start showing and people ask me what I'm having.

Yes, and then share with the rest of us your training techniques so we can do this with our children as well!!!  

That way, when somebody decided to make a rude comment, my adorable son could make a rude comment right back, and I would get the lovely satisfaction of looking them in the eye, simply shrugging and raising an eyebrow...I mean if a kid is saying it to you, it's honest & you had it coming.  Kind of like when my ds2 tells me I'm squishy....
