ultrasound- SIL is telling me opposite.

 This is my 26 week ultrasound. I have been told at 20 & 26 weeks that its a girl and got all girl guesses on the ultrasound gender prediction forum. Now my SIL is telling me I am looking at a scrotum not girl bits and I am plunged back into doubt as there is only two not the typical three lines. Is she just being spiteful or does she have a point Am posting it here because I am familiar with so many of the posters and trust your opinions. Thank you x

That looks like a girl to me! My DS's scan showed scrotum only at 20 w but it was protruding more than that. Pretty sure yours is a girl. What were you hoping for?

That looks like a swollen labia parts, not a scotum.  My ultrasound with my DS had 2 descended testicles and a penis, it was very obviously boy.  That ultrasound looks very girl.  The 3 lines turn into swollen labia as the baby gets older, my daughter did the same thing!!

GIRL...she a professional u/s tech??? Must be my in laws thought they were too ;) my Lil girls be confirmed 3 xs 3 separate scans and they still were doubtful...trying to purposely ruin my excitement after 5 DS ...

Tell you sil to shut it and quit being jealous! That is a GIRL! Matter a fact that's more girl than my dd2 was! She was even born woth her little protrusion and her labia stayed puffy for weeks! Go buy mounds of pink paint the walls and rub her face in it! Lol! Sorry but I can't stand when people make pregnant women sad! Enjoy your little girl!

at my scan with my boy you could actually see him penis and balls flapping about so id say your is a girlie x 

I think what she's talking about is how far apart the lines are, which we have seen on this board can be a boy.  But I think that has been at much earlier stages - like 17-18 weeks.  I am not a tech and so I can't tell what you're having, but that's probably why your SIL is commenting.  I suspect that when one of the techs/specialists here looks at your pictures, they will probably confirm girl - because as the baby grows, it makes sense that the labia would get bigger too.  You could also post your pictures on the babycenter.com u/s board as well - the techs there are quick to respond. Sorry for your worry, and congrats on your baby!

That first pic SCREAMS girl!!!  

That's 100% girl. With boys you can see the lines but they're out from the legs. Those parts are right between the legs, which makes that without a doubt a little girl. Tell you SIL to stop being mean!

 Btw, this is my potty shot from around the same gestation with my DD. It looks exactly like yours and I promise she's here and she's all girl.

 Thank you all so much for your replies and support. She and I both have boys and this is looking like the first female grandchild on DH's side of the family and I really feel she is trying to rain on my parade.

 Lovemy3- thank you so much for showing me your pic and explaining the difference with the lines.

babybleux- you are so right she does need to shut it!! I try to keep the peace and she is a passive aggressive type so I will be the bigger person and just let her go and try not to let it get me down.

Alpha- I didnt even think of how the image would change as the baby grows, thank you for pointing that out.

 I guess maybe SIL herself may be experiencing a little GD and thats why she wants to bring me down too. Its such a shame that some women are like this to others. We could be a great support to each other, but I guess thats not going to happen. To be honest I really thought Id have another boy and although I would have been sad not to have daughter I would have been thrilled to have two of a kind and a brother for my DS. But I am going to celebrate my wonderful little girl as much as I like, I cant wait for her!!!! Thanks ladies, you are all fantastic and I LOVE this forum xx
