What exactly did you eat...can you give me a rundown of your day trying to sway for a girl? And for simplicity did you just eat the same thing every day? I'm having trouble wrapping my mind around all of it. Did anyone do the diet for just 2-3 weeks before trying? I'd like to start trying in july, but I am just starting the diet. I know 6 weeks is recommended. Thanks for any help!

Cathy, I'm finding it hard too.  I looked at the recipes but wouldn't mind knowing what previous swayers ate to give me an idea. :-)

I want to start trying in August and stopped eating bananas, tomatoes , potatoes and no added salt a few weeks ago and cut out coffee about a week ago (hard decision). I have been drinking heaps of organic low fat milk, Crystal Light and eating heaps of yoghurt. I have decreased red meat intake but haven't really strictly been on the diet (adhering to all the tiers) because it is a bit overwhelming - what to cook etc.  I don't know whether to just stick to avoiding the main foods (listed) or actually go the whole way and stick to the tiers however it seems a bit full on.

We started taking all the supplements about 2 months ago - cranberry, calcium, magnesium, vitamin c, DH licorice root.

I too would appreciate if anyone could add in some helpful tips about their diet.

Thanks!!

I'm not swaying girl but I have 2 little girls and I thought maybe I could help a little here...

I know they say to skip breakfast, and I'm by no means saying you shouldn't do this, but I've always been a breakfast person. Not a big breakfast eater though, I always ate cereal and by always I mean EVERY SINGLE morning lol It drove my DH nuts because I could eat cereal every single day and not get tired of it, which he was never able to do. During the day I'd have a yogurt (sometimes 2) both greek and frozen, my lunch usually involved chicken (chicken alfredo pasta with tons of cheese was a favorite) or fish, shrimp, or sushi. Never ever any read meat, and I never added any salt to any of my food...I hate salt! I drank a lot of diet coke, cranberry juice, and crystal light. And for dinner - if I had dinner (that's the one meal I'd skip half the time)- I'd sometimes have cereal (again!), a protein shake, or oatmeal (with milk, not water).

I also worked out a lot, tons of cardio at least 5 times a week for anywhere from 45-60 minutes. Anything from zumba, running, elliptical, or spinning. I was losing weight at the time that I got pregnant with both my girls and I may have been sick around the time DD2 was conceived so I know those 2 things will sometimes sway girl.

GL to you ladies and HTH!

Tonight I had Chicken with pasta, I cut up leeks fryed them in low salt butter added all spice and stir it trough! Tomorrow I will have the left over pasta for lunch and scrambled eggs for dinner. Yogurt if I am starved. I plan on making a white sauce base and freezing it so I don't have to keep making it. To drizzle over pasta. Unsalted butter, plain flour and milk. The next night I am planning on making a soup out of the chicken, leeks. Maybe like a milk/cream based soup. I will see how that one goes. What is killing me is the coffee. I need Coffee, I plan on cutting down slowly. Or not at all I read it makes you acidic, and is bad for fertility. BUT in stops calcium absorb so I plan on drinking in the mourning take supplements at night and I read it isn't by much just drink an extra milk. So yeah. I plan on making rice pudding. I think I will use sugar. Not as much as I usually do, for a meal.

What are you guys doing for fish?  I've never been big on fish but I don't mind talapia, tuna and shrimp.
