Hi all! Just an update - my second son is now born and I can say now for sure that having the actual baby in your arms does wonders to cure GD! I adored him the moment he was born - he's precious and I'm so thankful... and I would say my GD is 80% better now. As many have said here before, it's not that we don't WANT the children we have and would TRADE them for our DG - it's just that most of us would ALSO like the chance to raise a PP or our DG. Meaning that yeah, I will probably have relapses of feeling down about never having a girl, especially when I'll see other people's DDs. And yeah, smug moms of girls will always bother me.... but overall, I think I'm definitely on the right track so I wanted to share the hope with you guys! Granted, my GD was never extreme and I wanted a PP - I'm not one who wanted ALL girls. I just wanted one, ideally! Lastly, about a 3rd child - I'll reassess in a year or so. If I were younger and richer (could afford help!), I would probably give it a shot, even tho I only ever planned on 2 kids. But as for HT, I'm not sure anymore. Yes, it would give us a guarantee of a girl, but I actually just saw a European investigative show on that particular topic a couple of days ago and I must say it did not paint the best picture. Granted, Dr Steinberg was the featured doc and that guy just rubs me the wrong way. However, what really got to me was when they mentioned that tampering with the embryos seemed like risky business. Indeed, when an embryo is 8 cells large, they remove a whole cell to analyse it, right? Well, uh, they don't put it back in do they? Seems to me that if they take 1/8th of an embryo away, that can't be good for the embryo/child's development? Anyway, that scares me, plus the cost, the failure rate, the crazy hormones, thye traveling, the "how many embryos to put back in " issue, the "what to do with extra embryos" issue, etc... Maybe I should post about this last bit on the HT board tho!

Fantastic news photogal, I am so happy for you! I now can't wait for the arrival of my third little boy. I definitely feel this is my last and there's nothing that could persuade me to have a 4th so I think give yourself time and reassess if you def want another child or not. Enjoy your little man and just remember how much boys love their mummas :) bet his big brother loves him too!
Proud mummy of 2 wonderful boys and now a 3rd one one the way

Same here DS2 was born 4/24/12 and I am completely in love. I wouldn't trade him for the world Love Ya! He is such a good baby! I am also loving this family of four dynamic with two boys. I don't even think I want to try for a girl anymore.....we'll see.
