Girl From Oz

It's been quite a while since I was last on here ... since I kinda went into 'hiding' since losing my baby (which I'm certain was pink and we lost before we found out).

Anyway, I've been thinking about Melody, Nini and Bequita and wondering how they're all doing - are you girls here, or can anyone help??

I'm sure Bequita was due #3 this month, and I believe Nini is due in October?

Any updates???

xx

Hi Girl from Oz, I am still here, changed my username and I am not posting much anymore. I was soooo tired of posting about o+12 and I felt like a broken record:) Nini is not much around and I don't know abou Bequita. She helped a lot with o+12 after I stopped posting. I know that surbur was asking for you the other day. How are you and what are your plans?? Are you ttc again?

I just want to say Melody that the 0+12 advice you provided us in the past was wonderful. So, thank you! I really miss reading your posts and I wish I could pick your brain on a few questions I have for a future 0+12 attempt (my last shot at a girl after having two boys and one angel baby), but I understand your need to move on. I'm lucky that I saved most of your 0+12 advice and I read it all the time so I hope it sinks in! Best wishes for the future and thanks again. xo

Thanks for the kind words! Bequita wrote an o+12 idiot guide and that contains everything I would agree with! It's wonderful and might help you! Don't hesitate to ask any questions. There are still some ladies around who can help and I stop by every once in a while, too. Good luck! I hope you get your little girl!

Thanks Melody. The main question that I would like to ask you is about ph and the changes to the CM.  I go from having abundant EWCM in the days leading up to O and then around O CM changes to a watery consistency then it gets thicker with a whitish tinge but it still has some stretch. The stretch is what worries me. By this time (that is, by the time I have the thicker, whitish CM with some stretch) my PH has dropped back from a 6 or more to  4.5-5ish. Am I okay to DTD at this time because my PH has dropped or should I wait some more? I have trouble reading the position of the cervix so I need to rely more on my CM and PH. I think I ovulate 24 hours after a +ve digital OPK. I am 38 years old and I'm pretty sure that I ovulate right when I get O pains which is around 24 hours past positive digital OPK. Any help you can offer me would be greatly appreciated.

 Thanks so much. xo

I would be confident in dtd when your ph drops. Waiting any longer can result in not catching the egg. As long as you don't have abundant EWCM you should be fine and a pH of 4.5 is ok. 5 would be a reason for me to use some SYLK. But that's just my opinion.

Nice to hear from you Melody. I'm OK. I'm not TTC at the moment - I have some travel plans for next few months but I may consider it early next year if DH is willing (but I'll be 40 by then so don't even know if 0+12 can work on someone that age?!). I remember a popular member on here once said no way can 0+12 work for anyone over 40?!?! I see Nini is having a boy. I'd love to know how Bequita is doing??

Girl From Oz, the fact that nini is having a boy after a perfect o+12 shows that swaying is not 100%. O +12 can work for women 40 years of age but it is harder to conceive anyway. Are you considering to stop swaying because you want a baby regardless of gender? It's still 50-50:) I wish you best of luck with whatever you decide and it's always nice to see you around!

Girl From Oz, Sorry about your loss. Hugs...You crossed my mind a couple weeks ago and I posted on here to see how you were doing. I didn't have a good feeling since you were so quiet. I didn't realize that Nini was having a boy. I recall her questioning her timing a little due the "slow" LH rise. I think she was concerned that the timing was in the boy zone?/// Hopefully she'll pop on here to tell us. Anyways, I wish you all the best.

Thank you! I read it! I have a question. Im using regular OPKs, I just cant afford digitals with getting everything else, and I know they are better, but what I took out of the guide was I can test 4 times in 24 hours with mine, and still find the surge, and the end of the surge. But I just cant use FMU. Is that right? I have a really hard time feeling my cervix(I always have), Im bigger and I dont know if thats why or not. Any thoughts ladies! I was reading this and you all seem so informed! Ive been studying this stuff since Apr 2011, but with our first attempt coming up I and deff feeling the pressureTongue Tied
