Just made an appointment to talk to doc about Ericsson...we have 3 girls and this would be my final shot so i wanted to increase my boy odds. Just trying to gather some info from anyone who is going through process now or who has had success in conceiving a boy. Can DH's sperm be tested to make sure he is producing both X and Ys. I've heard of cases where a man can produce more of one sex than another, but everything I read says it's a 50/50 split each time. I am very confused.
Even I know a thing or two about it, LOL. Sperm ratio will always remain 50/50. Sperm count may be low or high but ratio never changes. There is no use wasting your money on that.
I will definitely want to add a very valuable advise here. I am trying to conceive a girl this time and conception is a big problem in my case. I am fertile but it just gets delayed and delayed. I have been advised to go for IUI (not IVF. Read my previous posts, I am strongly against IVF). One company is advising me to go for IUI in a 'girl cycle'. Their claim is that the sperm selection where couples shell out $10000 is done automatically by women's hormonal make up in a particular cycle. I don't intend to name that company cuz I have already been flamed a lot about it. You can search on internet. So if you go for IUI in a boy cycle, you can request the techs there not to inject clomid because it is a female hormone (estrogen) and will disturb your natural hormone ratio and shift the balance toward girl. That is why even in IVF after spending thousands to get a boy, couple end up getting a girl or no pregnancy at all because of confusion created by these injected hormones.
If fertility is not a problem, you do not need to worry about even IUI. Just bd in a boy cycle. The company offers live proofs.
This is making great sense, hence could not resist.
