I've been watching this site for quite sometime and i've finally decided to join. I want to know what worked for other mommies when it comes to gender swaying. Did you just do the opposite of what you did when you concieved the other gender? Or did you follow a certain method or a combination of methods. With both my boys I DTD the day before and day of O. i had a diet with a lot of sodium and calcium. Knowing this should i assume I would concieve a girl 3 days before O or a few hours after O? And knowing my diet was high in sodium and calcium should I lower them both or just lower the sodium? I know this isn't a for sure science but I would like to get some opinions from moms who have swayed or done a lot of research on swaying.

 Hi Kitty,

I'd recommend reading the sway attempts/outcomes forum to get an idea of what's worked for other ladies here.  Then, you can figure out what will work best for you.  It definitely helps to chart for a few months so that it's easier to pinpoint your actual ovulation.  I'm planning an O+12 with 7+ day abstinence very soon, and have been on the diet and supplements for 6 weeks now.  Read through the sway guide, FAQ's, and cookbook several times until you're comfortable with all the info.  There are bunches of ladies on here who are happy to answer questions, too!

Hi Kitty ;) Im going to be ttc early november,so who knows,we might end up being cycle budies ( squeals with excitement) :) With my Dd, I never really knew about swaying,so I wasnt paying attention to none of the stuff, mother nature took its toll, lol, and now that Im ttc a sister for dd, Im trying my best to remember what Ive done before. We need to start assembling our plans and everything, coz time is ticking, and Im sooooo excited. Everytime I see a baby or pass by baby items in the mall, my heart and my whole uterus just flutters with longing. My little monster Ds was a planned sway, and thankfully it worked. i remember we DTD every other day, and then finally did our attempt on Ov date. Im sooooo worried that I wont be able to catch O +12 this time, ugh, frustration indeed, we def need practice cycles. I ate tons and tons of jelly candies, full of gelatin, and gelatin is testosterone so......, did baking soda finger as well, took EPO, and drank tons tons tons of baking soda drink, yuck....

Hi there! I'm TTC a boy this summer, but I thought I'd chime in since I have 2 girls already.

When I conceived my girls, I found that timing didn't have much to do with it, at least not in my case, since DH and I DTD 3-5 days before I O'ed (we weren't exactly keeping track) with DD1 and with DD2 we DTD the day I O'ed. Looking back my diet was VERY girl friendly so I'd say place most of your focus on your diet and PH. I used to eat A LOT of diary (like 3-5 times a day) and chicken and fish, and had NO sodium or red meat. I drank a lot of cranberry juice, crystal light, and did cardio about 5 times a week (I was losing weight both times we conceived). From what I've read, ALL of those things are on the girl diet so in my case there was a lot of truth to it.

If you need more tips or ideas I know they have a few threads on the gender swaying forum that may be of huge help. I suggest to do a lot of research but try not to overwhelm yourself because there's just SO much out there. Find what you're most comfortable with and take it from there :) Good luck!

Hi everyone. I've been watching this site for a few months now and trying to glean as much information as I can (but there's so much to take in!) I'm a proud mummy to a 15 month old boy but I am desperate for a little girl next time round. Planning to ttc in a few months so am now on day 3 of the supps and diet (which already I'm finding tough!) I was wondering about exercise. How much is recommended for a girl sway? I've noticed a few references to cardio but not sure whats recommended? Also, if anyone has any good girl recipes to share they'd be welcome. Good luck to all!

With the exception of my 4th daughter, all of my girls were conceived the day after I ovulated. With DD4 we DTD the day before and day OF ovulation and I still had a little girl =0) GL!
