Help - Question about my LH Surge?

Ladies, I have a question and hope you might know the answer. I’ve never tried to conceive before and I need your comments on my LH surge.. On the morning of CD 14, for the first time CBFM showed peak day with that little egg and a smiley showed up on CB digital. ( Yes I use both) Cervix seemed high and I could feel the opening. BBT same as usual.  On the morning of CD 15, (exactly 24hrs later) again the egg on the CBFM and a smiley on CB digital. Cervix high and soft again. BBT same as usual. On the morning of CD 16, (exactly 48 hrs later) BBT spiked. CBFM didn’t ask for test and I had run out of test sticks for CB digital. Cervix turned harder. To me, it seems like I ovulated on CD 15. No matter how hard I tried, I wasn’t able to exactly pinpoint it . Seriously, how do you ladies do that?  But the biggest question is, if I was to BD in order to conceive a baby boy this month, when was I to do it?  I really appreciate your guidance, ladies   

PS: CM is not a reliable indicator for me since I don’t get much after coming of the pills. TCOYF says, women like me might have some lotiony CM instead of EWCM. I did have it between CD 10-16 but not enough ro rely on. And I get the ovulation pain the entire week, can't tell the difference..

 

If I were you, I would do the boy diet, supplements & BD every other day from AF until CD12, then do daily until CD17...try to allow 24 hrs between BDs to allow sperm count to come back up. Sounds like you ovulate on CD15 which is about average. Hope that helps! Good luck! Sending you all of my blue dust!! :)

Beadinbabe, Thanks for the reply.. I thought we were supposed to BD only once though?  I’m not a big fan of Shettles but isn’t doing it daily totally against it?   Is that how you conceived your boys? I’d love to be a mom to 3 boys btw..

 

Noooo! BD once is girl territory! Shettles was sadly a joke...my DS3 is a Shettles opposite...wouldn't trade him for anything now, though at the time I was cursing Dr. Shettles. LOL. For a boy, you want to try to build up sperm count...dtd every other day is actually best & if you know when you ovulate, I'd work around that. For us, BD every day resulted in a boy...next time, we'll be releasing twice a day to lower count to TTC a girl. Thanks! It sounds like you O'd on CD 15. And more importantly it sounds like you O 24 hours after your first positive opk. I too used to digital! Anyway.. you wont really know "for sure" other than to see a pattern with your temps. I didn't temp and wish I had but luckily I could feel O pain. Also, as far as when to BD, I think the FAQ says once12 hours after your FIRST opk after a 3-6 day abstinance. Or to do the opposite of what you did last time since it's your first it's hard to know. BedinBabe got her boys with FR everyday or every other day, but that's how I got both my girls.. so I think it depends.

Hmm.. Maybe it is much wiser for me to BD 24hrs after the first + OPK. Having +OPK for two mornings, probably means I don’t ovulate within the first 24hrs. It says the spermies can get there as fast as ½ hrs depending the hostility of the environment. I’d better give them lots of eggwhites, so they can hop on and have a fast ride to the tubes. DH is going for a sperm count soon. They said he should abstain for 3-4 days as that’s when the sperm count is highest. Congrats on your pregnancy btw. I wish you a healthy little baby boy..
