So sorry dad...UGH!

So me, dh and my two beautiful girls are taking our evening walk around the neighborhood and this lady is outside with her two girls and baby boy. She says oh so do you know what you are having yet? I say, yes another beautiful girl. She looks right at dh and says, AWWW SO SORRY DAD! Ugh people just don't think before they speak! Funny thing is I am annoyed but weeks ago I would have cried my eyes out. Today I didn't....so far     

I have two boys and im pregnant with my third baby of unknown gender baby and I know if my hubby could pick he would pick a girl. I don't know why people always assume men want boys. Don't get me wrong he is not the least bit disappointed in our boys but he's always dreamed of daddy's little girl. And your lucky hubby will have a trio of them :) Hope you have a H&H pregnancy and Baby girl!

Are you serious?! That was SO rude and uncalled for!  I can't believe she actually said that.  Some people just seem to think that all boundaries drop when they encounter a pregnant women and they are entitled to say whatever they want to her and her family. Well, that is not the case! If people can't say anything positive, encouraging, and uplifting they need to keep their beaks shut!I'm sorry you had to deal what that. Congratulations on your pregnancy!

ohhh! i so know how you feel. my husband gets such a hard time for having all we are about to have our 4th! it hurts his man hood more than anything ifeel for him, people need to keep there stupid comments to them self! on a lighter note, thats great it only annoyed you. i have to say having 3 6, 4, and 2 has been a blessing! they are all so close and its so special to watch. enjoy your angels

hi, we have 2 girls and are expecting a third child (dont know or sure what it is yet, but was told boy at nuchal scan). Anyway, i am the one who wanted to sway for boy. DH wanted 3 girls!

 It's true what some of the past posters said that people just assume that men always want boys. My dh would just be in heaven if we had 3 girls!

How rude!  When people say that, I tell them the truth, which is, my husband loves having Daddy's girls.  It's so funny that I'm the one that wanted a son for my dh.  He really wanted just a baby.  When we found out our third was a dd, I was sad, and he didn't understand why, he just said, what is wrong with having daughters?  I said nothing!  But I wanted him to have a son because I got the daugthers that I wanted.  And that's when he told me, no, who said I wanted a boy?  He said either gender would have been great, he just wanted a baby! 

Thanks everyone Not sure what I'd do without you wonderful ladies and this site to be able to express our feelings  I only wish I would have used the comebacks that I have been preparing Next time hopefully I won't be so stunned and I'll be able to get them out as I am starting to get used to all these insensitive comments people make!     

hey mommyof3, don't worry, you will do just fine.  When people make insensitive comments, I actually don't even care about the comebacks anymore, I'm happy with my family, so much that it didn't even matter what they think and I think you will too.  You will be so in love with you dd3!

Thanks!  I usually get the "why don't you try for one more" comments.  I just tell them, nah, we are happy with 3.  I realized it's not that they feel sorry for me (well I'm sure some do, but not all that made those comments since they are from people who I know genuinely cares for me), but that it would be nice to get to raise a different gender, that was why I wanted a son so I can see where they are coming from.  When I see how much they are in love with my daughters, I know that they don't feel sorry for me at all.  Sometimes they would even just call me up and ask if they can babysit my girls.
