UPDATE (15w) * Was told my boy sway has worked at nuchal scan!! 13w

So I said I would steal clazbaz thread title if I were told boy at my nuchal scan today!!! My tech, who in 2010 said that DD2 was a girl at nuchal scan and was right even though I spend 2 weeks convinced that he could only be wrong, told me to get ready for a change because after 2 girls, baby looked very boyish, that the nub was very there and angled but there was still 25 pour cent chance that nub ends up flat and girly. the pics don't show the nub and position of the baby was tricky, but my tech looked thoroughly and I did think that nub looked boyish. Of course I regret not having a super textbook Boy nub to show you and to comfort myself (pic has no nub) , at the same time I need to calm down and remember there is a chance out of 4 that baby is a girl. I was ready to hear that today, but will not be in 2 weeks if I keep getting s excited!! I wil update on may 22.  Arghhh.. I couldn't really see anything and the tech had never even heard of the Nub so she didn't even try to look. Baby was VERY stubborn, the tech had me rolling from left to right and back again, she even had me get up and jum up and down!!  it took her FOREVER to get measurements..  She took a pic from above of the legs and there was no bulge or anything.. i could see a tiny little triangle thing, but the tech said clits can look like a penis still so that's why she wouldn't even look between the legs.. (good tech!)  Lol

So, it looks like I am gonna have to wait.. I thought I saw a flat-ish nub but the legs were always in the way as the tech never looked down there or tried to focus on that area.  I did not get any pics!

I might try and do a elective.. maybe. Lol  

Ohhhh, and then when i ask when my placenta is, she says it's POSTERIOR!  when the last doc told me was Anterior?  What the heck?  Ughh

So, that got me down a bit, as aren't most boys posterior?? Oh well, only time will tell!

Dreaming- too bad I wanted to nub obsess! Lol! But I am glad all is well and healthy!!! Also just wanted to say I'm not sure about the placenta thing because I supposedly had to boy guess for ovulation and implantation side with dd2, and my placenta was posterior with dd2 also. But I do know it can move during pregnancy. Can't wait for your 20 week scan unless you do an elective!! ;)

 I know!!  I did too!  I am bummed!  I am thinking about an elective.. I will most likely do one.. Lol

Yeah, when I asked her left or right for the placenta she said neither, she said it was right in the middle in the back? I knowwith Ramzi the left/right is the only thing that matters, but I have just read that boys are usually posterior and girls are usually anterior.. 

oh, the reason it took so long to update was I had a planned lunch with some childhood friends (we are all pregnant too) so we had a preggo food fest at Shari's restaraunt..    But, I was running late from the appt and I had to rush home to get DS3 and then go all the way back into another town.. busy today! Lol

Ohhhhh, I am so so so BUMMED!!     The ultrasound was really grainy in parts too.. it wasn't like that in the beginning but she changed it and then it was a little bit harder to see... She was mainly trying to get the head and neck for the measurements.. she did to CRL measurements and baby measured 13+6 and 14+0.. and I am 13+5 so baby is right on track. HB was 155 bpm.

 

Congrats! i found out its a boy with my 6th child at 13wks and i had a boy.

 Congrats Bambino, sounds exciting!

dreaming, at least you didntsee anything obviously manly lol! DH thinks he saw the goods of our baby :o) i am so sorry that you would have to wait for 7 or 8 weeks now. but dont get bummed for stuff like placenta loctaion, i dont thinkits accurate now, and it is so big it should be on all your uterus no?

I am soooooooo glad you stole my title ; ) can't wait to see the confirmation pics of your little prince in a couple of weeks. It's surreal isn't it !!! My boy is due in 6 weeks and we are getting his nursery ready and I STILL can't believe it !!! I am soooooo thrilled for you xxxxxxxxxx

clazbaz, i love you, you have been my example throgh all this process (after BFP since you were already pregnant when i got here to ttc), with your words of encouragements, and your pregnancy very similar to mine! now like you, i need a confirmation at 15w to really enjoy. But i so want to go shopping. It was incredible when the tech said to get ready for a change, looked like a boy... my jaw dropped. i dansed in the hall of the doctor's office, i said to the tech i would buy him chocolate!

Yeah, I am glad I didn't see any major boy parts!  No turtles flashing or anything!  HAHA   I DID see something when she was taking a shot of the legs.. it was from above looking down, and there was a TINY, TINY little triangle in between the legs????  Hopefully it was clitoris I was seeing!!  

It def wasn't a round bulge or anything looking "turtle-ish".. Lol    I asked the tech to look and she said she don't b/c clits still look like penis' at this stage.. I was glad she said that though.. I am glad she didn't just look and see something and guess BOY only cuz there was "something" sticking out... Also She had never heard of the "nub theory:  I explained it to her though, and I am pretty sure she went home and Dr. Googled it.. HAHA

I am probably gonna do an elective at 17wks.. so only 3 more weeks!
