It's official, I'm crazy!!

I'm 32 wks pg with my 5th son, and I have an US scheduled for this coming Monday to recheck my placenta previa to make sure it's moved up.  And sadly there is this tiny crazy part of me that is somehow hoping this baby will miraculously have turned from a boy to a girl, despite the most clear turtle boy shot you have ever seen that I got at my 22 wk US.  I know there's no way this baby is a girl, but I am still having a hard time wrapping my brain around the fact that i will never have a daughter, and that after flipping the coin 5 times we came up with the same result every time.  I will be happy when this baby finally gets here and I can see him and hold him.  Hopefully then it will feel more real and final.

Lots of hugs and you're not crazy,you just want your baby girl and there's nothing wrong with that.hopefully your previa has moved up and all is well with you and your beautiful baby boy.this is gonna sound weird but when I found out my 1st set of twins were both boys,shoppng for them helped me a lot..buying them all kinds of cute things and picturing them in their little outfits.

Please be assured that there are a bunch of "in the same boat" mammas hugging you as hard as we can.............5 boys is AWESOME !!!!!!.........let us embrace it !!!!!!!!!

 I know just how you feel with ds's 4,5,6 I hoped they'd made a mistake I imagined giving birth and announcing it was a beautiful baby girl, and me being delighted I had the whole conversation played out in my head, I had the phone calls to my family played out in my head and what I would post on FB but hey ho it never happened, Wouldnt change any of my boys for a girl now doesnt mean I wouldnt love a daughter still. 

I'm also due in the end of June, just 8 more weeks to go. And yes, at our US it was so obvious it was a boy, no doubt about it! But now, all of a sudden I'm wondering if there is a little girl in there. We had this hardcore sway and all the callenders are saying girl. And last week a woman said to me 'Is it a boy? I was sure you were carying a girl when she looked at my belly (she has 3 boys herself). So I'm also still hoping it's a girl, and no, you're not crazy, or at least we are both crazy..

ha ha us too.. i am due in maybe 2 weeks.. and we just had an u/s.. at it my dh said let's not have them look at the gender for the off chance we still might be surprised with girl in the delivery room.. i'm sure the woman thought we were crazy.. everyone tells me it looks like i am carrying a girl, we swayed, all the calendars and owt pointed to girl.. but alas we saw boy clear as day at our 21 week scan. I just can't wait for him to be here at this point.. my mom just told me this morning she dreamed i had the baby and it was a girl.. and my 4 year old keeps saying he "Wants" the baby to be a girl.. he was saying it was a girl but has heard me say boy too many times at this point. I think it's natural. I still can't believe we are going to have 3 boys this close in age.. kind of so overwhelming to me to think about so i'm just thinking about a new baby at this point and not the future of chaos ;)

Thanks ladies.  It always feels betterto know that you're not alone in your craziness!  I just keep thinking about this episode of One Born Every Minute (it's a birth show) that this woman was due with her 4th boy and she kept telling everyone at the hospital that she thought they were wrong on the US and that it would be a girl.  She was seriously in deep denial!  She even called the baby a she when he was born and her husband reminded her that it really was a boy.  I'm just wanting this pg to be over so I can move on.

You are definitely not crazy! I feel the same way! I am currently pregnant with DS4, and I also saw a very clear "turtle" at my 18 week ultrasound! I dream that when the baby is born they will tell me it is actually a girl, yet I know it is definitely a boy! I can't imagine never having a daughter either, but we are definitely done! :-( I hope your DS5 is the most beautiful, wonderful baby you have ever seen and he instantly melts every ounce of GD away for you! :-) Good Luck!

Well, I'm now 110% sure that this baby is indeed a boy!  He isn't shy, we'll just say that.  But he was very sweet closing and opening his mouth and blinking.  I know it will get easier once he's here, but I just wish the next 7 weeks could go by faster.  It's just hard to think that it's really over, that there isn't any more chances for me to have the daughter I always knew that I would have.  It sucks being so emotional right now.
