Congrats on making it this far Newbaby, I am following your journey with great interest. :) You have done amazing!!
And when that time comes, you are half way there to meeting your baby! Yes, bulging means it's close to breaking....it's quite a common term in the UK. Mine were close to breaking for 6 weeks though, so go figure.

i think thats why they want me admitted for the remainder of the pregnancy. my last 3 we're 30 mins from the time my water broke. my water breaks and its 30 mins and im holding a baby, not a pretty baby mind you because my labors are so fast they come out purple and blue and are covered with bruises and swelling.

yes im getting a little nervous. the big hospital with the nicu is about an hour away so i probably won't make it there. iam pretty close to the local hospital. i wish i could stay but there is like zero vacation time left. if dh takes off work we don't get paid. so taking weeks off just isn't an choice for us. im scared to death my water will break while dh is at work and while im standing in the kitchen making frantic phone calls for sitters or for help i give birth to a preemie on my kitchen floor while my 2 year old uses the amnioc fluid for a slip n slide. but i can't deliver until im 37 weeks, is that correct? so they will just keep stoping my labor until then? can i make it another 7 weeks at 5cm and a bluging bag? in the past when i was 5cm i always gave birth.

Maybe you could hire a sitter to be with you during the day?  A college student maybe that you trust but wouldn't have to pay an arm and a leg? I know they have classes, but maybe you could get a couple of girls to rotate days.  I know that wouldn't be free, but cheaper than having dh take off work?  Or perhaps there are a couple of people nearby you could put 'on call'  & have an understanding with them that you will call the minute your water breaks, hang up with them, then call an ambulance.

With you being at a 5, I would think any sort of serious contractions would rupture your bulbing bag and I don't know that they would even try to stop labor at that point even if you weren't 37 weeks.  You could easily slip right into a 6 or 7 before you even got to the hospital!   I'm just not sure it is stoppable at that point.

You & baby Michael are in my prayers!  I wish I was closer so I could offer you help, rather than just prayers!!!

Do you know your neighbours perhaps they could be on standby for you. or a family member who could stay with you for a few weeks or loads of family members booking a single days holiday each over the next few weeks. Or could you contact social services i know that sounds scary but if you explain the predicament you are in they may be able to provide help for a few weeks such as daycare or maybe there is a local family support group in your area who could help.

Is there any way your hubby could work from home? or worst case you start hanging about outside the hospital everyday with the kids LMAO

lol luvmybigfamily! im actually getting things in order. i can't really call my neighbors, one side are older people who are gone most of the time and the family on the other side has a 10 year old who is currently going through chemo for bone cancer so im actually taking their daughter alot as i already have a house full of girls and i know if lord forbid something like that happened to me i would want to be at the hospital day and night with my child as well.

im finding people and friends who are willing to take one or two. the trouble is calling everyone at once in case something does happen. plus nobody wants London... does anyone want an 11 month old girl??? she's really cute but she does require alot of care, shes doing that drunken sailor walk, she still needs alot of diaper changes plus you know babies.. she's into EVERYTHING! nobody wants to babyproof and take her for awhile

I'm just wondering if there is someone who would agree to just come to your house for a short time... long enough for the people who have agreed to take some of your girls arrive and pick them up.  Just to give you some wiggle room and not be so rushed when it's time to get to hospital.  Maybe you could find someone who would agree to show up and make the necessary phone calls to those who would then come and get your girls for the long term until you are out of the hospital.  Maybe someone has 30 mins to an hour to spare to be with your girls, make the phone calls, and send them off.

I would LOVE to take care of your one year old little girl!!!!  Just saying!

the weird thing is, hubby never wanted a boy. i mean maybe at first but after so many girls i told him, i was sorry i couldn't give him a son. he said "i wouldn't know what to do with a boy after all these girls." plus he's the 5th generation of the same name and he hates his name, its very old fashioned and while im sure it was popular 5 generations ago its not so "popular" now. however he knew he would be pressured by family members to keep the traditions going and he did mention, "im glad we have girls, i can't name them after me."

but now that its a boy and we know its a boy, he's kinda walking around with his chest out and that cocky look about him. he even went shopping without me... he came home with blue stuff and "dad's slugger" baseball jerseys. and now he's confiding in me, "im really excited to have a boy!"

p.s. we are breaking traditions! his family is not too happy.
