Ladies please be cautious of early gender determination

i was personally going to opt for an early scan, but ended up booking my appt for 19 weeks.. then chickened out and extended it to 20 weeks just so i wouldn't get a false prediction. I was told 95% girl so im hoping it's all girl when it comes out (or he's going to have a lot of pink stuff....). Your story makes me so mad/sad for you, i mean these 3D places are so careless it's disgusting. People pay hundreds for these ultrasounds ($300 for a basic one here) and they end up getting their hearts broken by false positives.

bowling1998, even though i dont agree with you bombarding her thread with a million pics im going to just say how boyish both your nub and your between the legs shot are... im pretty positive that's your boy but im also not a tech. However, like she stated you should make a thread and ask coldwater to come take a look for you. Im sure she will tell you boy, but who knows :)

Thanks ladies. Its ok I am new too and I posted like 5 of the same threads when I did my first posting. it’s just the web site is a bit slow right now and the less posting the better. I am so anti 3d 4d ultrasound now I just don’t think these people are trained properly. The more I talk to women the more I here really upsetting stories. That’s why I felt is was necessary to post this, i don’t want any of you to get your like I did. i do still have faith in the good ol 20 week U/S the doctors give, they have gone to school and are professionals.

bowling1998 were all your ultrasounds done at one of these 3d places or at the doctors office??

. All mine were done at an elective place one tech said boy then went two weeks later she still said boy then at 15 weeks went to a different place she said boy no way it can b a girl. Then 16 weeks went back to the first place but different tech. She said boy also.

Wish there would have been a thread like this last year!!  It was about this time last year I was being told boy at 15w and went into a horrible depression, not being able to eat or sleep because I so desperately wanted a daughter.  Thanks to this site I was able to post my pic from the horrible 3D u/s place and got all girl guesses from what that tech said was 100% boy.  Funny how you ladies can be so much more accurate than someone who is paid to do that as their profession!!  Luckily my story had a happy ending and baby #3 did in fact turn out to be my little girl but it really did ruin the moment for me since I had always dreamed of looking up at that u/s screen and hearing "It's a Girl!".  My boys were disappointed too since they had really wanted a sister so it was a bummer for the whole family for a whole month before I went in for my next u/s at the doctor's office.  So I guess the moral of the story is...it's worth the wait to find out at your 20w scan and not try to be too anxious and go sooner to someone who isn't qualified.

aww i will be for you. i know exactly how your feeling! im sure its your boy, i believe you got boy responses from everyone. like i said repost your pics to get coldwaters opinion, it may ease your mind

. Thanks. Sorry that u were told one gender now its the opposite. So they are sure its a girl? How far along r u?

I have been asking my hubby since I was 15 weeks (17 1/2 now...) to go to this ultrasound place nearby that charges only $45 for a gender scan only. He has been saying no (nicely) and that we can just wait until our anatomy scan on May 4th. Now that I read all the trouble you ladies are going through/have been through it makes me kinda relieved that hubby has refused to get an elective gender scan. I am not really heavy leaning one way or the other toward gender, I am just super curious and cannot imagine being told one gender only to be told a different gender 10 weeks later. These places are scary!

Well this is scary for me...i have been told 75% boy and posted my pics on here and got all boy responses...I wish a tech would come and reply...Could you take a peek at my thread and tell me what you think....I didn't want to throw all my pics in your post...That would truly suck to be told one and have your hopes up and then find out the opposite..sorry this happened to you :(

im 32 weeks, and they are now saying yes its a girl for sure. this was hard for me to accept at first, but after posting my "ITS A BOY" shots, evryone seemed to think they were girl shots. and now that i have really looked at them they are right. i just so badly wanted to belive boy.....

I was 12 weeks 5 days in those pics...I really hope it's a boy, but I keep letting doubt set in.. :(
