Hi everyone, a quick update:
Obviously we're not "out of the woods" yet, but I got my maternal serum test results back the other day (from the blood test for my NT scan at 12 weeks), and everything looks really normal.
Last time, with the Triploidy, my free beta hcg was 2.97 MoM (Multiple of the Median), which is very high- the average should be around 1.06- this time around, it's roughly 1.33 MoM, so very normal there.
More importantly, the Papp-A (pregnancy associated plasma protein A- released by the placenta and a very important marker for looking for chromosomal abnormalities) is about 1.1, again the average is 1.00 MoM. Last time it was very low- 0.65
And a low Papp-A is associated with Down's/other chromosomal abnormalities, so this time it's nice and high.
So again, I don't feel 100% OK, luckily I'm only 7 days away from my 12 week scan, but so far everything is looking OK..
The countdown is on...
