Urgent advice please ladies...ttc girl

Hi, I'm on my 2nd cycle of ttc a girl. I tried o+12 last cycle and it didn't work. I'm due to ovulate in 4 days time (cd22), my DH is going to be away in cd21 and cd22!! Shall I try a cut off? If so how many days? He's done 10 days abstinance already, I've been on the diet for 11 weeks (I had a couple of cheats during the 2ww, but none of the major no no's). Last cycle I did have EWCM for one day but the ph was 4.7. I really want to try my best to get pregnant this cycle as my skin is awful from the diet and I really feel rubbish, I also need to get pregnant quickly due to my work. What do I do???

Honestly, everything I've read says that timing is the least important factor. If it were *me* I would go for it.

We can "help" things with swaying, but ultimately, it's in God's hands what happens and it sounds like you've done all you can to help this along!

Thank you for your reply and advice. I know what you mean about timing, everything I read contradicts everything else! So do you think my best bet would be dtd cd20 evening? I only want to dtd once! Aagghh, need to stop stressing!!

I would say go for it. I would consider fr instead of a if it's going to be less than 14 days....but timing is the least important. Just try to keep ph low until confirmed O. GL!

I agree with BRW, keep pH low all the way from BD to O.  I posted a question for Tamara about this and she said if you don't do that your sway will fail.  I'll bump that up for you.  Good luck and lots of pink dust coming your way!!!

So your will your dh be back in time for 0+12? If he will be back in time for this I would do that method, of he won't be back for that then I would do a cut off, otherwise this month is out. Are you regular with your ovulation? Are you fairly sure you will ovulate on the 22nd?

No he won't be back :( I'm fairly sure I will ovulate on cd22 as I have for the last 3 cycles, I can never work out the time though! Last cycle I checked my cp a million times but it never felt soft like in my practice cycles, I think I must have ovulated in the early houses of cd22 - I had my first +opk at 4pm on cd20 but I didn't get a peak on my cbfm until cd21 using fmu. I feel like I an desperate to get pregnant. I have hardly any cm at the moment & what I can retrieve is 5.15ph. My DH has been 7.25 every time I have checked which is good. So it looks like I'm going to have to do a cut off, I now just have to figure out whether to dtd tomorrow night (cd19) giving me roughly a 2.5 day cut off or cd20 giving me a 1.5 - 2 day cut off! I suppose my worry is that I could o sooner but as long as I keep ph down I 'should' be ok!? Honestly, I'm getting pretty desperate to be pregnant just so I can get back to normal, food is like medicine and I'm feeling very low today!

Hi oneblue~pinkplease, How old is your DH? If he is over 35, then I personally think 11 day abstinence is fine. You have been on diet for 11 weeks, right? I think you can just go for it! Just keep your pH down and if you have EWCM around your attempt, start taking Zyrtec or Sudafed days before. Fingers cross for your BFP this cycle!!!

Hi Cilantro, he's 27 and I'm 28. We've decided that we're going to do our attempt tomorrow (cd20) which will mean he has abstained 12 days. I hope that'll be enough. When we conceived our son we were dtd a lot so I suppose having 12 days abstinance will be the opposite! My cm is lotiony and the ph has dropped a lot over night, it's 4.56 and last night it was mid 5's. I was drinking a lot of canderal yesterday and taking double strength cranberry so at the moment in happy with everything my body is doing! I've got a moon cup do in using that to collect cm to make it easier to test, sorry tmi!! I just noticed you did your attempt a few days ago, fingers crossed for you! Hopefully we'll get our bfp this month! x
