Thanks a bunch!!!!  I'm having a really good feeling about this.....This fertile period is in the new moon, girl moon phase and now the biorhythm says girl.  I hope that this, with the diet and supplements will bring my boys their sissy  =)

I'm sure they will! My boys asked for a "Princess Lea" when we had my DS#3...hopefully this time she'll be here! :)

I have a really good feeling about the ladies on this thread!! Everybody seems to be (pardon the pun) getting their eggs in order!! ;) hehe

A&RMommy - Thanks for the negative ion info.  Mountains and beaches have the most negative ions, I love this!  I will definitely be doing hikes in the mountains this summer.  Also, I love your idea of the splash park, lots of water molecules colliding.  We have one right in our town and that will be a fun place to take the boys this summer.  Did your site say anything about how many neg. ions a salt lamp produces or heated lavender oil?  Also, I'm thinking of trying for July too!

Booey and Others - I just take the chicken out of the package (I don't rinse it, should I?) and then coat the top with lots of seasoning.  You can coat the top and bottom if you want to.  Then you grill it on medium heat for 10 - 20 minutes depending on the thickness of the cut.  The easiest way to tell if it is done is just cut into the middle.  If it looks pink it isn't cooked and you need to cook it a little longer.  Last night we grilled on the George Forman indoor grill, with that grill you don't have to flip it over.  If you grill outside you flip it halfway through to get both sides done.

BeadinBabe - I think your idea to dtd or TBM several times will up your chance of conception.  Just make sure to keep your pH low and use the diluted lime to decrease the boy sperm each time.  My birthday is 6/21/76 and I'm thinking of trying for July, I should ovulate around the middle of July.  Does that look like girl time for me?

On a previous post I didn't know if hot baths raise or lower pH but I went back to the FAQ and it says heat lowers pH.  So hot baths with lavender bubble baths would be perfect for ttc a girl.  Relaxing and loweing pH.  Love that!

I think someone asked about morning coffee or tea.  The IG diet officially says no caffine but several of the girl moms said they had morning coffee instead of breakfast.  And coffee is acidifying so I'm thinking it is okay.  Caffine interfers with calcium absorbtion so I'm not going to take my calcium suppliments until later in the day.  Any tips on how to not be super hungry in the mornings?  Also, if I delay eating something until 10:30am is that good enough?  I won't eat breakfast cereal, I read that totally sways boy.  But I'm thinking coffee when I wake up, then a no-fat greek yogurt at 10:30am.  What are you ladies doing?

LOVE your recipe for the grilled chicken, we have a Foreman grill, too...will definitely be pulling it out!

I used your birthdate and July 15, and it said GIRL :)

I usually drink my peppermint tea in the morning. Not sure why, but I'm never hungry in the am - I didn't eat breakfast before I started the diet.

I've been writing down step by step what I need to do - leading up to and day of my attempts. I'm a visual person, so it helps having it in writing in front of me...plus, I'm afraid I'll get nervous and forget a few steps.

I wish I could try now, but I haven't been on the diet long enough and we're going on a family vacation in June to an amusement park. I want to be able to ride the rides and if I'm too far along, I know without a doubt I won't be able to. I'm hoping if it's only a few weeks the doctor will say okay! I'm just hoping it happens fast!

This is completely off topic, but does anybody know why some of the posts are blank? I've noticed when I look back at old threads, that some of the posts have been deleted.

Anyone know what the deal is? Some of them have been very disappointing, as I would've really liked to see what the poster had to say.

Thanks BeadinBabe!  Yes, we'll get out girl!  Pray  You're 3 weeks older than me?  Do you feel like you're getting too old for another one?  I feel like this is my last shot, it has to be this year.  Think pink, right!   Happy Smile

Hi BeadinBabe, thanks for checking my dates.  I to have been writing down exactly what I'm going to do 3 months before, the month of, the week of, the day of conception, etc.  I figure if I have it all written down and have thought it through a million times then I won't be as stressed as the actual attempt gets closer.  If you want to get pregnant before a vacation with fast rides you must not have a problem with morning sickness.  I always get soooo sick, it is the one thing still holding me back a bit.  I have actually read that acupunture can help reduce morning sickness, I was going to post a question about it on the main page to see if anyone has had success with that.  I would like to get my little girl and not be totally sick.

I'm not sure why some old posts are deleted.  I deleted a post once because I had accidently posted twice.  I thought the monkeys stole it so I hit it again and then it actually popped up twice.  So maybe some people go back and delete their posts?  Or maybe you can un-join the site and then your posts are automatically deleted?  Sometimes I wish I could ask some of the older posters a question and then I realize they must not have logged on in a while when it says they are 82 weeks pregnant, LOL!

Hey Heavenlee ~ actually, I keep forgetting that I'm almost freaking 40! It's like it just snuck up on me. I had planned to get my tubes tied after DS3, but when we found out it was another boy, we decided to keep our options open and honestly had decided then to try one more time at some point. That was 7 years ago. And here we are! Chronologically, I keep reminding myself that time is running out, but physically I don't really feel like it, ya know?

MountainViews ~ that may be it, they may have deactivated their accounts. It's just frustrating, because some times the responses to the deleted posts make me REALLY curious about what was written. SO funny about the 82 week pregnancies! I've seen lots of those and thought the same thing!!

Excellent point about morning sickness! I actually never had it with any of my boys. With my luck, I'll have it this time. So now I'm wondering if we should go for June - after we get back. The only thing is, I'll be off my diet for a week and I wonder how much it will hurt me. And get this, my vacation is the week of AF. Fun times, right? LOL (I hope since it's the week of AF, it won't be such a horrible thing to be off the diet for a week.)

I love those little ovulation predictor phone apps....you can tell exactly when AF is for the rest of the year and when you *should* be ovulating. So cool! My favorite one is Ovaview.

Thanks BeadinBabe... I will be in touch soon with dates for you :)  Also, can you tell me about the fish you had the other day?  You said it was tilapia, right?  I'd love to know more :)

Mountain... It has been hard skipping breakfast altogether... I have just been drinking water until noon... I wanted to just be safe and make sure I totally skip breakfast! :)  I was thinking about maybe having some peppermint tea though in the AM...would that be okay do you think?  Is peppermint tea supposed to lower ph or anything...or is it just "girl safe" ?  I have heard that accupunture helps with morning sickness... I get treatments monthly or so now and it's great... I haven't had it during a pregnancy yet though.  I am hoping that it might help me with my terrible vericose veins in pregnancy though! :(

Looking forward to talking to you ladies more as we get closer to our attempts! :)

Hi Booey!

The fish we had the other night was Gordon's - like "trust the Gordon's fisherman" ;) LOL...it was lemon seasoned tilapia. It was low sodium, low calories and low fat. It really wasn't bad!

Peppermint tea is supposed to lower testosterone. Same thing that Saw Palmetto does, except peppermint tea has less side effects. Although I don't think you're supposed to drink a lot of it if you're pregnant. I've been drinking mine in the morning with lots of equal. Today I checked my blood sugar at about 1pm after only having the tea and it was 83, so I'm definitely okay with drinking it in the morning.

BeadinBabe, if you haven't had morning sickness before you probably won't get it this time.  If you do get it I bet it would be mild.  Morning sickness doesn't hit until 6 weeks so if your attempt is in late may then you should be fine in June.  If you got sick it wouldn't be until late June.  It will be very hard to stick to the supplements and diet when on vacation.  I'm not fully on the diet yet and I'm not looking forward to it.  I've just been incorporating the good stuff like dairy and not really cutting out the bad stuff yet.  I'm holding off as long as possible.

Booey, I had bad varicose veins during pregnancy too.  I had to get the compression stockings and wear them all day.  They made me feel so old.  I'll have to ask about that along with morning sickness when I find my acupuncturist.  I think peppermint tea is also suppose to raise your pre-ovulation temps which makes your egg cycle more "girl", lower than normal pre-o temps signals a boy cycle.  I think peppermint tea is also supposed to be good for digestion and soothing to the stomach.

BeadinBabe - I saw that you're going on vacation in June as well.  I posted a question about ttc diet and vacationin the main forum, but haven't gotten any responses.  I am trying to decide whether I should start my diet at the beginning of June or wait until after we get back from vacation on the 24th.  I wasn't sure if being off of it for 10 days would cancel all of my hard work out.  If I wait until I get back it will give me 3 weeks until my predicted O day for my July attempt.

I am getting my body semi-ready by just going on a light diet.  I'm cutting out soda and high-fat snack type foods and going towards a more salad friendly, no breakfast eating approach.

I saw you guys were talking about peppermint tea, and I just wanted to add that although a lot of people say it sways girl because it lowers testosterone, it actually does this by raising estrogen, and can also be alkalizing on the body, so probably safer to avoid it if you're TTC a girl.

Hope that helps!

Hello Ladies,

I thought that I woul share some of my meals & snacks with you and hopefully you will do the same.  I have to admit though I am having a hard time findiNg room to even eat after trying to drink 100oz of CL, 3 cups of pepeermint tea and 3 cups of milk everyday!!!

SNACKS

rice cakes with butter
yogurt
2 ounces of cranberries & 3 ounces of walnuts
soda crackers with jam

1/2 cup rice krispies

MEALS

11/4 cups quinoa with 1 ounce cranberries, 2 tbsp cream,  2 tbsp pinenuts, & 1 tbsp sesame seeds

1 cup brown basmati rice, 1/2 cup green beans, 4 ounces chicken breastbroiled in oven with Mrs. Dash
Diced chicken breast baked with 2 tbsp cream cheese, 1 tbsp of parm and 2 tbsp of milk, served on pasta with 1/2 cup green beans with butter

PS:  is everyone on this thread planning to use a lime douche.  That is the only thing I am undecided on as it can cause infections and greatly reduced your chances of getting preggers.  Can you tell my why you are planning to use it?

Thanks!
