The signatures with all pink and the posts complaining about  multiple girls are getting to me. I have to get off of here for awhile. I never know what I'm going to see when I get to this forum and I don't think it's good that I'm actually contemplating PMing some of those people and suggesting we trade... Happy ROFL

When someone I know finds out they are having a girl (esp after 1-2 boys).

Seeing the "OMG yeay it's a GIRL!!!" posts on here (been posting on here off and on for 4 years so I've seen a lot) usually said by someone who has 1 or 2 boys or it's their first. The ones that have 3/4/5+ boys and then a girl give me hope....unless my GD is already ignited for some reason and then they make me feel sorry for myself because surely I won't be as "lucky" Happy Wink

I'm in no way "disappointed" that I have sons, I just want the chance to raise a daughter as well. Happy Wink

Want to try for a Baby Bear Girl early next year! Pray

Weddings (and I'm a photographer, so I go to lots of them.) Especially the daddy daughter dance.  Not sure why that makes me emotional since it would be my dh dancing with a daughter not me, but for some reason it always makes me cry.

Older adult women with their moms makes me sad.  When people talk about how they want their mom there with them after having a baby but would feel uncomfortable with their MIL.  Negativity about MIL's in general!  (For me I think the long term things are harder for me than just the little girl clothes/girly stuff).

But also last week going to church on Easter and seeing all the little girls in their pretty dresses was so sad.  I just wanted so bad to be able to go pick out 1 dress for a little girl and not have everything always be dress shirts and ties.

Mine are going shopping for boys' clothes - I can never find anything I remotely like, most of it is horrible and I leave the shop with nothing. Also, my son getting 'macho' presents like dumper trucks, etc and blue clothes with things written on them to make them seem tough. I'm not trying to turn my boy into a girl but I want him to be a balanced person and kind and sensitive.

I completely agree with Lebula and GlutenFreeMama. I hate how stereotypical my son's gifts from others tend to be and I could go on and on about the clothes. Girls' clothes say nice things - boys clothes usually insult the wearer. And I too think about the long-term things - and how left-out I will likely feel at all major adult milestones, and if not left-out, like I'm there on probation.

Seeing and being around my sister who has two girls and now a 6week old boy :-( hurts me so badly to know that she got both genders and me.... my third boy on the way! If anyone has any ideas on how I could cope with these moments I'm all ears???? She looks so happy and I just wanted that same happiness also :-(
