Anyone else ttc a girl have advice on skipping breakfast? I have started my day with a large bowl of porridge (oatmeal) for years and always wake up really hungry. I get really grouchy when I miss breakfast. Are there any drinks or habits you use to take your mind of it. From the studies i've read skipping breakfast to ttc girl seems to have a lot of weight behind it.

yes skipping breakfast does sway greatly for girl. there have been alot of studies on it.

all I can say, is , it will be something you'll get used to. keep yourself busy in the morning and you'll find it will be lunchtime before you know it. Its worth doing!!!

DD1 - i never ate brekky until 10:30am - too  busy in morning and would wait until after meetings at work to have something to eat.

DS- ate breakfast because i thought it would  help fertility issues and set a good example to my DD1.

DD2- sway- did not eat until 10:30am. - and followed girl diet

Thanks Honeyrose it's encouraging to hear your story Happy It's abit corny but i'm thinking about wearing a pink wrist band or something to remind me why i'm doing it and then perhaps I won't be tempted! I'd be thrilled with a baby of either gender really but i'm interested to see if swaying works and find that the planning involved is keeping my mind off my raging broodiness! I've been pregnant once before and lost a little girl so i think this is why i have chosen to sway pink.

I notice on another forum you say you ate quinoa for lunch - is that because it is high in magnesium?

dont worry i wore a rose quartz bracelet everyday and a negative ion necklace.. its not corny, I just wanted to cover every base!

Yes I ate Quinoa for lunch... I think because it was high in magnesium and calcium and very low in sodium. It really is a super food because it also kept me full and kept me away from sugar cravings. so this may also help you! if you want to know about any other foods ask away!

But basically I got most of my nutrients from the food I ate rather than the supps.. I looked at food more like medicine rather than it being enjoyable.

I like the sound of getting nutrients from food rather than supplements - that's my ethos too! Just wondering if porridge (i.e. oatmeal) is a good 'girl' food? I currently eat it for breakfast but thinking I could have it later in the day instead Happy

I never eat breakfast, it makes me feel sick to eat right when I wake up. So i usually eat hours later around 10:30-11ish. I have two boys ;)
