All my daughters had their ears pierced at 3 months old and they never pulled at them.. my 9 month old and 2 year old don't even know they are wearing ear rings. My oldest DD loves her ear rings and doesn't remember anything about when she got her ears pierced

My 3 daughters don't have their ears pierced. If they decide for themselves they'd like it done, then thats fine.

Hi! My sister and I both had our ears pierced when we were babies. My mom had a heck of a time with my sister, she was constantly pulling and playing with them. At four she refused to keep them in and eventually they closed. Flash forward to her at 20 and she got her ears pierced again and and extra one in each ear! She still wears them :) I of course was the perfect child and never messed around with my ears ;) But once I got old enough to start switching them we realised im allergic to everything thats not gold! All those fun earrings and I couldnt wear any of them! Fast forward more than 20 years and 90% off the time i dont bother with earrings! lol funny how it works right?! If i were to ever have a daughter i wouldnt peirce her ears mostly cuz i would want her to know she maybe allergic to everything but gold before she decides if she wants to do it or not. I dont however think theres anything wrong with getting them peirced. But i also think its a fun mother daughter thing to do when they are a lil older :)

Nay....when my dd's old enough to want & be responsible for taking care of them, then she'll have my blessing.

My daughters ears are not pierced and I would not get them done until she was old enough to want them and understand how to take care of them and that it will hurt to pierce them. I was 6 when I got mine pierced and if my dd is around that age or maybe a bit older and really wanted them done I would probably let her.

Thanks for all the input guys! I've also resorted to going up to strangers on my sons soccer team who I see with young draughters with pierced ears and asking them too lol

Both my Baby Bear Girl's had theirs pierced around 3 or 4 months. Their pediatrician will even do it on one of their well visits. I love the way they look and am glad I chose to do it early but it's a personal choice.

Did they numb them at all? Did they cry? Do you clean them afterwards? Sorry for all the questions.

I think thats kinda harsh. My mom is not cheap trash, and while i personally would wait to have my daughters ears pierced (if i ever have one) that doesn't mean others are not allowed to disagree...you know respectfully?

Don't be sorry at all...they didn't numb them but I don't believe they needed to. The cry lasted maybe a few seconds and they will never remember it :-) You do have to turn them and clean them but I just made it part of their bathtime routine.
